Rav made a total hash of the dance off, as if he felt that he was already going and therefore wasn't going to try to hard so that he didn't seem like he was too keen - in a teenage boy kind of way? does that make any sense? He really reminds me of a cousin of mine, in appearance and in attitude, but it's rather difficult to describe what I mean!

I agree that Aliona is unlikely to be back next year - I couldn't warm to her at all.

I've never seen such an ungracious loser as Rav. He couldn't even bring himself to say something civil after he was voted off. And he was desperately waving the other contestants over when he was supposed to be having his goodbye dance with Aliona.

i'm just watching the first half of the show on iplayer and you can see rav huffing and puffing petulantly in the background when other people's scores are coming in. he acted like a big muscley baby.

LadyGlencora, I agree that Alesha's grammar is shocking. It just sets my teeth on edge. I hope someone has a word ........... Who is Rav? I mean, what does he do in real life? I though their routine was rubbish

I'm with you, Skillbo. Who could be bothered to have an affair with an 11 month at home? And when you see them together it doesn't look like it. And Ola and James always seem very in love. I suppose only time will tell..

I also think Rav and Aliona had a tiff. Ridiculous that he waved people on as he was dancing his last dance and couldn't say anything when asked. Huffy and silly. It'll be interesting to see them on Monday on ITT..

The dresses this year have not been good. Is the costume department running out of ideas? I especially disliked the dress that Flavia wore last night.

I'm warming to Joe C, he cant dance but seems a really nice guy. I noticed him backstage rallying Craig when he was a little down, nice to see considering he is at the bottom of the table.

I hope Aliona is not back next year, can't take to her at all. Bring back Karen.

Rav, what an ass. I did feel a bit sorry for him cos he gave up before he'd even done the dance off, but he was incredibly ungracious. His partner did do a ridiculous choreography for such a big guy. What a shame.

And I like Linda, she's hilarious!

i'm glad linda stayed rather than rav - it made uncomfortable watching when he couldn't/wouldn't say much, especially as most contestants gush about how much they have enjoyed the experience. i thought he came accross as surly and a bad loser so it will be interesting to see him on itt, i suppose he could have been overcome with emotion so unable to speak (hmmmm, bit of a long shot!).

still love the show but think it is a bit looooooooong now, also find alesha annoying - the 'you was' thing was grating and it bugs me how everyone has obviously been primed to praise/agree with her at every available opportunity.

ricky whittle is amazing to watch but i find his worried expression and surprise at the judges positive comments a bit fake - he must know he can move!

ricky groves is hilarious, i hope he keeps improving.

I was just commenting on that to my DH - Why did they change it from a Saturday and Sunday show to a VERY LONG Saturday show? I preferred it the way it was, much more manageable..

Anton's comment was in the Metro this morning. Am I the only one who thought Rav was struggling not to cry and that was why he didn't say anthing?

I felt that Rav and Aliona were BOTH feeling rather stroppy and out of their depth, and neither had the wherewithal to give the other a "come on now, let's make the best of it" speech, or indeed a kick up the arse.

Seemed like they both wanted to blame the other for the situation they were in - no connection at all. I don't think she'll be back next year either.

I would love Karen to come back, too, but am hoping that she is taking a break to have a baby (was it on here that I heard speculation about that?) and will be back next year complete with nicely timed "Dance off your baby weight!" DVD for me

Missing Camilla a bit too, I thought she was great.

I've noticed the dresses too - me and DD like to "Ooh!" at them all and so far we've only had one "Ooh!" (Ola's tango dress)

Linda's red paso dress looked a bit like the mermaid costume my daughter has asked me to get her for halloween... and red, too - is there such a thing as a BAD mermaid? Glad she won though.

Rav said tonight on ITT that as his Mum was in the audience and in tears, he couldn't look up otherwise he would see her and break down himself! So maybe what appeared to be stroppiness was just him holding it together?

Aliona said she disagreed with all the judges comments apart from Craig. She then had a dig at Alesha's comment about playing to Rav's strengths saying something like 'if she missed any she would like to know which!!' Charming!

I loved ITT tonight. Claudia cracks me up every time, I loved her comment about wanting to leav but not being allowed when she was talking to Ali , Jo and Brendan were so cute they made me cry a little bit, Aliona made herself look like an arse and Craig's shoes really were spectacular.
