... still a wee bit crap after all these months.

You don't have to talk really slowly to children.

And you can show a modicum of personality. Alex looks permenantly worried by life.

Am I wrong?

Big Cook & Little Cook used to be on Soccer AM on a Saturday morning - somehow it didn't seem to bother DD2 than Little Cook was suddenly 6 feet tall!

I can't bear Cerrie or Alex. She's just too intense, always staring into the camera with those big doe eyes.

The summertime song makes me all emotional though, not sure why

MrsCravendale · 31/08/2009 21:10

Bit late to this but it was such a shocker when Cerrie n Alex just appeared in place of Chris and Pui one day with no explanation or anything!!! Think that is also why no one had any time for them at first.

They are both a whole lot better now. They should really remake the Goodnight song. Simpering Cerrie ha ha! Exactly.

I love the little mouse on ShowMe ShowMe where he is struggling on the huge waves of the open sea... and it turns out to be his journey to a jammie dodger biccie in the middle of a tea cup. Brings a tear to my eye... Yup saddo.

They are both poor presenters. There've been so many threads on this and on the Cbeebies message board. They need to be replaced.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/09/2009 01:03

They are ok, unoffensive really. I never saw Cbeebies with Chris and Pui.

DS loves Show Me,Show Me, and Waybuloo.

I hate Big Cook Little Cook. All that stupid ho-hoing that big cook Ben does drives me mad.

RubyBlueberry · 01/09/2009 20:28

I think I would like to see Chris presenting the news. With a trumpet

ava- she never returned, but was a midwife on Eastenders when Honey had her baby!! (iirc!)
In fact, it was googling her to see if she had had her baby that lead me to MN (and a thread loving Chris off Doodle Doo)!!

I can't remember now- I got caught up in a thread about which Cbeebies presenters you would invite to the MN xmas party (wtf!) and i don't remember about poor Ava!
Her son was called Sammie (but I just had to check on Wiki!!!!)
[very sad person emoticon]

Raahh · 01/09/2009 20:56

ha! x-post!

Monadami · 01/09/2009 22:04

I prefer Sid and Andy, they seem alot more fun and juvenille. Cerrie looks like she should be presenting grown up programmes.

puffling · 03/09/2009 23:04

Teamedward you beat me to it. I was going to ask about Eva. I wish they'd ask her back.
The thing with Cerrie and Alex is they've improved enough to be able to work competently but no more than that. They have no spark or oomph. They are so so dull. Virtually anyone could do their job better.

It's great to see a couple of low key presenters before bedtime. It's the betime hour!!

A pleasant change from the usual high energy, sunny-d, high intensity pesonalities that many kids tv presenters feel they have to adopt.

A what a pleasant change to see a woman take the lead role, was it just me or were the guys taking just a bit more of a lead, a bit more of the limelight.

And what a rare and wonderful thing to see - a gentle guy on tele!

Eve4Walle · 07/09/2009 17:52

I agree, they are awful. Sid and Andy are much better, my DD has a little innocent girly crush on Andy!

I can't stand what they've doneto the bedtime hour song either.

My DD likes Chris & Poi. She's pleased they now have their own programme and she can see them again. Going back a few years, I always thought that Sue was a great presenter and I really liked her.
