I'll start off with:

The Office
I'm Alan Partridge
Only Fools and Horses
Dawson's Creek

I know you can watch repeats, but not the same as a new weekly episode !

Funnily enough, Blake's 7 was mentioned on another thread the other day - 'should I call my baby Blake?' or sommat like that. Someone thought of Blake's 7, I thought of Carrington (and no, I do not miss Dynasty). Think it just showed our ages tbh!!

I miss:

Alan Partridge
SATC
Green Wing

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 11:15

Have I got News for You - but with Angus Deayton as the presenter.

ClaraDeLaNoche · 18/06/2009 11:25

Knotslanding and The O.C.

UnquietDad · 18/06/2009 11:34

Cremola - thanks!

getorf - it was a sort of space opera, shown on Mondays at 7-ish. Ran to four series. Had a huge following.

dawntigga · 18/06/2009 11:38

Sorry but they are all really old:

Turtles Progress
The Tomorrow People
Micheal Bentine's Potty Time
B5

UnquietDad · 18/06/2009 11:39

Ah, original Tomorrow People or Tomorrow People:The Next Generation (with That Todd Out Of Neighbours?)

Comewhinewithme · 18/06/2009 11:42

Quantum leap.

Dead like me.

Cold feet.

dawntigga · 18/06/2009 11:42

UD wash your mouth out with soap for even mentioning TP:TNG!!!!!!

The original of course - my favourite was the one with the bubbles.

BTW UD the reason you like Blakes 7 - could it have been Servalan????

Oh! I was so in love with the actor on the original Tomorrow People, I wrote to him, and still have signed photo of his big lapels.....
Now, UQD and dawntigga- what about Timeslip?
(It was kind of like Primeval- bit of a shiny anomaly thing the kids used to crawl through-)

blondissimo · 18/06/2009 12:41

Does anyone remember the kids programme Terrahawks? I detested that as a child and I am sure it is where my unfathomable fear of puppets comes from. Ewww, those witch things in the planet....

"A-a-a-lways there..."

I know someone who had that sung at their wedding.

I cringe-cringe-cringed...

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 12:49

Tomorrow's people? Timeslip? Who are they?

Honestly what are these programmes. Perhaps they didn't show them in Devon.

Never really got Cold Feet. Just couldn't get my head round the concept of James Nesbitt being someone anyone would find attractive

blondissimo · 18/06/2009 12:49

Just for you GetOrfMoiLand

OP posts:
blondissimo · 18/06/2009 12:52

Agree with GetOrfMoiLand - never heard of these progs - I was born in '79 so we must be similar age. Also agree re James Nesbitt - not my cup of tea at all.

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 12:52

Oh Oh Oh (excited now, triggered off by Howards Way) Dallas and Dynasty and The Colby's and Falcon's Crest.

I seriously was going to call my first born child Fallon.

I used to love it when Alexis Colby got all sneery and English with Krystal ("just leave this place with the plarstic suitcases you arraived in2).

Yes, it seems that I spent far too much of my 80s childhood watching American trash.

Thunderduck · 18/06/2009 12:52

Coupling
Black Books
Father Ted
And I'll second HIGNFY with Angus.

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 12:56

blondissimo

Yes, we are the same age. 80s childhood plus early teens in the 90s (did you have a velvet floppy hat, River Island carrier bag and desparate love of Body Shop and their anti-animal testing policies like I did!)

blondissimo · 18/06/2009 13:00

yes I had a velvet floppy hat (inspired by "Blossom" I think), not so much River Island, was more of a Miss Selfridge girl myself, but loved The Body Shop, became vegetarian for about a week and also had the CND sign scrawled all over my books.
Oh and a velvet choker also !
Had forgotten about all that!

OP posts:
Thunderduck · 18/06/2009 13:22

I can't believe I forgot Angel. I miss that more than any other programme.

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 13:28

lol at the velvet chokers! Yes, had those, and also some with a crappy fake cameo hanging off the end. In my experience they were very good at covering up lovebites scratches.

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/06/2009 13:29

Top of the Pops

I wish that was on. I used to bloody love it up until it was taken off air.

dawntigga · 18/06/2009 16:52

OMG UQD and Bucharest loving this.

Get Orf no but they did have Gus Honeybun - gods but I miss him!

dxx

dawntigga · 18/06/2009 16:55

thunderduck yes I miss Angel as well - mind you it did all get a bit boy scout at one point. I MUCH prefered Angelus which explains why I dated so many bad boys I suppose
