OMG that doesn't look like Lorrraine

MollieO · 03/06/2009 22:13

He is very small.

I can't believe Lorraine's transformation - she's washed her hair

JonAndHate · 03/06/2009 22:14

thought

Lorraine looks like a different person

littlelamb · 03/06/2009 22:14

@ he is very small

TrillianAstra · 03/06/2009 22:14

'Special gift' is such crystal ball handwavy rubbish.

Much better hair now though. Don't know precisely about the colour but in general dying is the way to go.

Poledra · 03/06/2009 22:15

Sorry J&H, I was trying not to lose the king-size packet of crisps I just stuffed down my neck.

So my answer is yeuch no!

SameBoatAsYou · 03/06/2009 22:15

From very mumsy to very ballroomy

JonAndHate · 03/06/2009 22:15

She forgot to do her roots though...

JonAndHate · 03/06/2009 22:16

Looooool

BusinessBarbie · 03/06/2009 22:16

She is looking a bit more normal, she's lost the lipfinity...

MollieO · 03/06/2009 22:16

I love Jo Brand - 'passionate'

MollieO · 03/06/2009 22:17

James C bless.

JonAndHate · 03/06/2009 22:18

Fair enough Poledra. Like I said, can't blame you

MollieO · 03/06/2009 22:18

I reckon that a lot of working mums can identify with Lorraine. I was only off just under a year and my confidence went. I can't imagine how brave she must be to get back working after 10 years out and as a result of a failed marriage.

TrillianAstra · 03/06/2009 22:31

Uh-oh, there's pantsman dancing again in the final!

EyeballshasBackBoobs · 03/06/2009 22:38

What I don't get, is that both Lorraine and Debra grew up elsewhere and neither of them have the trace of an accent (I'll deal with Lorraine's lapse in a mo ). How old was Lorraine in that pic outside her house in Ireland? 12, 13? Debra moved at 8. My mother left Ireland at 16 and after 48 years in London her accent is just as thick.

I do what Lorraine does and it's a standing joke at work that they can guess who I'm on the phone to by my accent so I get why that happened but what happened to it normally? And Debra? Odd but entertaining.

BusinessBarbie · 03/06/2009 22:44

I sort of get the "mirroring" thing Lorrsine talks about, which would explain the accent shifts...

JonAndHate · 03/06/2009 22:47

My accent changes a bit depending on who I'm talking to (but English is not my first language).

EyeballshasBackBoobs · 03/06/2009 22:49

DH's greatest wish is to have my very Cockney uncle on my dad's side and my Irish aunts on my mother's side in the same room trying to talk to me at the same time. He thinks my head would explode

Fimbo · 03/06/2009 23:00

James' suit on The Apprentice You're Fired was just awful. Very Burton 1985.

I thought Debra looked amazing much much better.

Lorraine should have washed her hair for the interviews

Notalone · 04/06/2009 09:56

at Yasmina going through. Kate is a little bit too smug so would like it if shwe didn't go through just to wipe the smirk off.

Debra looked fab in the after show and has an amazing figure. If I liked girls I definitely would

NoTart · 04/06/2009 10:09

Is nobody a bit pissed off with Kate´s comment that her nightmare scenario is working with a bunch of women? I thought this was a very telling crack in her ever so perfect persona.

Also her visible fury last week when Lorraine pointed out that although Kate was obviously perfect for a presenter´s role, it would be nice to use Howard as it was a surprise that he came across well on camera.

Anniek · 04/06/2009 10:34

100% with you on that NT... Really got me, I've managed many teams, men, women, different cultures different religions, there is good, bad, emotional and bitchy in all.

How anyone can make such a narrow minded offensive comment

Up to that point didn't mind Kate but now... go Yasmina go!!

Anniek, why has noone else picked up on this? Is it normal to be misoginist?
