Yurt - the one who did the ballet dancing and singing before. Tonight she just murdered sang Edelweiss.

Tortington · 29/05/2009 21:21

i blame the dog

amireallythatsad · 29/05/2009 21:21

How can you blame the viewers....we didn't make her get up there? I LOVE tacky tv. And I have all my GCSEs

I blame the parents. I'd never put my kid up there. Poor kid.

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/05/2009 21:22

Phoenix · 29/05/2009 21:23

Oh god it was awful. I'm 33wks pregnant and was crying my eyes out

amireallythatsad · 29/05/2009 21:23

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa at Eccentrica

I still fancy Simon Cowell. What's wrong with me?

SolidGoldBrass · 29/05/2009 21:26

Poor little sod, whoever she was (I do not watch this show). Humiliation and misery like this is not that new for any children who have a liking or a talent for performing, but the mass dissemination of it is new. And while I think that the mindset that is a really revolting mixture of witless sentimentality and unfocussed spite, all frothing and ready to be channelled in whatever direction the tabloids fancy this week, is not entirely new either, again the amount of it and the mass communication of it makes it potentially more of a problem.

Yurtgirl · 29/05/2009 21:32

Thanks Squeaver

I agree she is too young
Simon Cowell made her cry after her audition apparently - when he commented on her tutu!

Kimi · 29/05/2009 21:35

What EccentricaGallumbits said.

I don't think she should get another go, if she was 40 not 10 she would not.

anniebear · 29/05/2009 21:37

mybe she really wanted to do it though? doesnt mean her parents pushed her into it ?

hercules1 · 29/05/2009 21:49

What was her mother thinking?? Ridiculous.

TheLadyEvenstar · 29/05/2009 21:58

I just wonder if her mum is going to be on stage with her in the finals???

Kimi · 29/05/2009 22:01

Ok crying kid gets through talented bloke goes home, stupid, kid is not even that good.

/kimi reals out her kids who are not overly talented and tells them cry and look cute, thats all you need in life.

She will shit herself in front of HRH.

I really could slap the mother, stupid stupid woman

Tillyboo · 29/05/2009 22:15

What a performance from Holly ... and I don't mean that in a positive way either.
Great acting achievement i.e. no tears, forced shock horror.

Poor Greg should have gone through. OK, not the best singing performance by him tonight but he's very entertaining.

If it was genuine then her mother should have pulled her off stage and took her home. She's not ready, too young and will not cope on the RVS.

Hideous, hideous car crash TV in my opinion.

Kimi · 29/05/2009 22:20

Next time I go for a job interview I will cry and flap about going please please pllleeaassse if they say I can not be a brain surgeon due to the fact I am not qualified, cause I really want to be one and my mummy would like it too

salvadory · 29/05/2009 22:22

ick, she came across as a horrid, spoiled, little girl. Whilst I first felt sorry for her I hated it when told there was no time to do it again and she just cried and cried almost as if she does that all the time at home to get her own way.
A bad lesson for any kids watching, if you screw up and cry you'll get another go, horrible to watch. I don't think she was too young FWIW plenty of other kids manage fine with rejection.
The young girl singer earlier in the week was tonnes better and handled not getting through loads better. Yucky Tv that reminds me why I should be reading my book instead!

Housemum · 29/05/2009 22:24

They should think about an age limit next year - I think X factor is 14 (hides under a rock having admitted to watching it - the only TV teenage DD will watch with us, our other choices are "lame" as she puts it...)

I know there are some brilliantly talented kids, but this is not the forum for them, competing against adults for one performance.

ssd · 29/05/2009 22:27

christ now its on the news at 10

Kimi · 29/05/2009 22:29

Silly spoilt little brat, was pretty much what came across, She can not win she is not good enough, and I think Cowle is stupid enough to gamble on her.

pointydog · 29/05/2009 22:30

I watched this with the dds tonight. It is such a shite programme I can raise little enthusiasm to care much. But Greg was awful! It was very uncomfortable to watch. What a load of party-turns

you · 29/05/2009 22:34

It's pretty sad the things some of you are saying about a 10 year old girl

God knows I couldn't have done better 20 years ago

ilovesprouts · 29/05/2009 22:40

sorry she should not of been given a 2nd chance at all

HecatesTwopenceworth · 29/05/2009 22:41

In a sense though, it IS the viewers fault - if these programmes didn't get such huge viewing figures - in other words if so many people didn't watch them - then they'd be taken off air. That happens all the time. Programmes flop and are cancelled.

The reason britain's got talent, x factor, big brother, etc, go on and on and on ... people WATCH.

Want rid of it?

Stop watching.

I was thinking to that there should be a lower age limit after seeing the other girl that got put out breaking her heart, the other young girl is through, but how heartbreaking will it be for her if she doesn't win, even if she did win I think it is too much pressure on a young child and they have plenty time to find fame and all that, plenty chances to perform in her local dance school shows or whatever. Nothing wriong with a bit of competition but this is way to much for a child that young.
