What am I going to do without ER?!

Have sent DH out to the shops so I can watch in peace and quiet, though he'll be back in time to see me sobbing as I no doubt will be.

Is anyone else out there going to be sad at the last ever ER?

I loved the end when Carter said "coming Dr Greene"

Tell me and may be I have forgotten but the lady who had the heart transplant - last I remember was that her body was rejecting the heart but I don't recall what else happened. What have I missed?

I thought the old couple were lovely but I didn't get why they all of a sudden introduced Julia. She was a brand new person - what happened to Daria and the others that had been there all season?

One thing that disappointed me was that Reese was there, Elizabeth spoke about Ella but nobody asked Carrie about Henry (or did I just miss it?).

Will miss it dreadfully though (am 38, so keeping that theory going ).

I finally watched this last night, and am another one that is sad to see the series end.

INscotland - I was wondering the same thing about heart transplant lady. She's been such a focus of the series but then they forgot her entirely in the last ep?

I'd also like to point out that I've watched from the start and am 25!

inscotland - the production team said that they were trying to echo bits of the pilot as closely as possible. So:

-the same nurse woke Morris up at the beginning as woke Greene up at the start of the pilot.

Carter's words at the end -'Coming Dr. Greene?' - echoed the pilot - don't know if someone said that to Mark or he said similar to Carter.
and the newbie was deliberately brought in to mirror Carter's role in the pilot and to show that life goes on in the ER and they continue 'passing the baton' from hand to hand.

I wish that they'd shown in the 'previously on ER' episode the points where the outgoing doctors passed on the responsibility for 'setting the tone' to the next one.

In some ways it was clever not telling us what happened to heart/coma lady. They did it all almost as if there would be another episode next week. All going along with the life goes on idea.

Never warmed to Kem
Felt they did hte right thing for the last episode by just continuing the circle of life
Life and death, that's what it's all about
I was a bit scared they might bring back a helicopter for old time's sake

Susan and her bloke...I think they may well split up...but it is such a long time ago....and so many new characters since...hard to keep note of it all, lol

I can't believe it's gone I've never missed one, but I was surprised, for some reason I didn't think Carter was in it from the beginning .

This series starts on c4 on sunday I think.

Just to say that hmv are at the moment doing each series box set for £8.99 plus free postage !! DH has just ordered series 1,2 and 3 this week ,will get the rest next week

Carter & Abby belonged together, but whereas Kovac is lovely in every way, Kem is awful. Poor Carter. Oh well.

I liked how it ended. And that Archie was the linchpin, in the end. Funny how he snuck up on everyone's affections after such a terrible start.

Yes I too fell in love with Archie after initially hating him and thinking him an utter waste of space!

I think it was when he sang one episode and you saw the other side to him
