his poor wee sister!

TwoIfBySea · 03/05/2005 21:20

This is awful, this boy should be locked up with the mother alongside him.

His poor sister, I feel so sorry for her getting thumped like that.

emily05 · 03/05/2005 21:22

surely this is not a safe environment?? I cant believe it, If I were social services I would have that young girl taken out of that home. When he picked up the knife my blood ran cold

My jaw was on the floor.

NO WAY, would I have got anywhere close to behaving like that in my house. Obvious he has some sort of disorder - ADHD or ADD.

Gobbledigook · 03/05/2005 21:39

Just to say, obviously children with ADHD don't often go around behaving like this boy but I just mean I could tell it was more than 'bad behaviour' - done a lot of work on ADHD.

expatinscotland · 03/05/2005 21:42

The mum is just as bad. That wee girl should be removed from that environment.

noddyholder · 04/05/2005 15:24

I am not very up on adhd and other special needs and watched this with interest and was shocked tbh.Sometimes i read the special needs threads to try and educate myself a bit but honestly never realised ythat this is what some of you go through I am truly shocked at this bot and agree his little sister seemed so disturbed

spacedonkey · 04/05/2005 17:41

What a shocking but brilliant programme. I could not believe the improvement in Ben's behaviour over the months. Has this bloke written a book?

Blu · 04/05/2005 18:03

I was really shocked that after a ADD dx and all that violence (they said he had been involved in a fight with neighbouring boy that had resulted in police etc) and 8 months off school, all the official help on offer was a once-a-term-visit from the woman who sat on the sofa and talked him through a questionnaire!

Since such huge changes CAN take place with the right support, shouldn't parents / young people be given 'preventative support' like Warwick before it costs them their whole family stability and the state a heap of expensive bills, one way and another?

Did anyone else think it was irresponsible to let 13 year-old boys have such a massive bonfire in an enclosed space next to a wooden fence and house?? The flames were huge!

Could have cried for poor Tilly.

spacedonkey · 10/05/2005 17:23

I just looked at warwick dyer's website and you can hire him for less than two grand. Bargain!

WestCountryLass · 10/05/2005 21:51

Got to be woprth the money if you kids are litle boogers like these ones tonight.

I can't believe the language they are using at their Mum and I feel so sorry for the stepdad, he should must be a saint taking them on (I would have run away screaming).

What I can never understand is why people have big families when they are obviously having so many probelms with the first ones?

I realise that accidents can happen, but do you think it because they think, 'this time I'll get it right'?

The whole thing is just so hard isn't it? It seems as if as soon as the placenta hits the bucket the guilt and worry kick in.

Ulysees · 17/05/2005 21:56

what channel was it on? just wondering if it's repeated?
