Anyone watching?

I cannot believe they just ODed that girl!

OP posts:
Ewe · 14/04/2009 21:27

One thing I don't understand is her saying that teenagers bodies aren't made for having children - I thought it was fairly accepted that mid teens to early twenties was biologically the best time to have a baby? Human nature, history etc.

McDreamy · 14/04/2009 21:27

lol i thought the same troutpout!

expatinscotland · 14/04/2009 21:28

I just can't get it up to feel sorry for a girl who is 'needlephobic' but has at least two body piercings, smokes, and doesn't seem to give a shit about the baby.

Did someone told her in order to put her to sleep they put a cannula in your hand? BEFORE the op, to put you to sleep.

liath · 14/04/2009 21:29

At least they're showing a lass who wants a natural birth and to breast feed!

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 14/04/2009 21:31

sorry, I don't think teenage bodies are made for having babies, a teenager's pelvis isn't wide enough to carry a baby if the mother is too young. There are many young teenagers in other countries who are married and pregnant in their early teens, there are known cases of the damage it causes to their bodies because if the tears and prolapses that result. Often the babies have a traumatic birth and do not survive. The mother is then seen as 'damaged' and abandoned.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 14/04/2009 21:31

The overweight girl is really big.

Ewe · 14/04/2009 21:32

"I always get my own way"

We'll see about that I suspect...

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 14/04/2009 21:32

I expect gran will be doing most of the caring for that baby Ewe.

biffandchip · 14/04/2009 21:33

This is just making me sad

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 14/04/2009 21:33

Why biff?

Alambil · 14/04/2009 21:34

she's annoying me - it's not that they're not LISTENING ... they're SAVING her baby ffs

Pre-eclampsia is so dangerous but she has NO clue

littlelamb · 14/04/2009 21:36

So sad. It reminds me of being induced with dd, being strapped up and stuck on the bed

nametaken · 14/04/2009 21:37

Do you know what I find tragic, not the fact that they are teenagers because I don't think a mothers age is all that relevent. I just think it's tragic that only one of the girls has got a father round to support her.

Where have all the dads gone. Have they buggered off, or have the girls dumped them. Just puzzled really. Think thats the saddest thing of all.

Monkeyandbooba · 14/04/2009 21:37

THis is making me cry I'm all for choice but made with the full facts in mind.

Those poor babies

giddykipper · 14/04/2009 21:38

One of them said it was her boyfriend who wanted a baby then did a runner when she got pregnant

Alambil · 14/04/2009 21:39

awwwwwwwwww cute baby

Ewe · 14/04/2009 21:40

I agree with you regarding early teens Fluffy.

I was sure I had read that mid teens (i.e 15+) to early twenties was biologically the best time to be pregnant from a purely physical perspective but can't find any info on it! In our society I think it's almost irrelevant though, the immaturity of these girls outweighs any potential physical benefits (if there were any).

I hope she quite smoking now her baby has arrived.

giddykipper · 14/04/2009 21:40

I know Lewis

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 14/04/2009 21:40

I wasn't a teenage mum, ds's dad buggered off and I had two close friends with me for ds's birth. I felt sad for him but most of me couldn't give a shite. It was a sign of things to come.

Monkeyandbooba · 14/04/2009 21:40

Awww good to see a breastfeeder though

expatinscotland · 14/04/2009 21:40

Aw, he's so cute. He's so sucky.

Ewe · 14/04/2009 21:41

Bloody hell, she needs a bra!

Meglet · 14/04/2009 21:42

AFAIK teenage mums have riskier pregnancies as they generally are not that healthy . The ones on tv are seem very badly informed about what pregnancy and labour entails, I doubt they're popping folic acid and looking after their growing babies.

expatinscotland · 14/04/2009 21:42

Wow, it's great to have such a stubborn, close-minded attitude when you're about to have a brand new human being.

giddykipper · 14/04/2009 21:42
