Have been a fan since I was a student. Am I the only one on MN?

Just kiss her!!!!!!!!! and then we can have a more interesting story line please

minko · 03/08/2009 18:38

I'm sure I read that Susan was going to be their surrogate. Surely can't do her - mostly forgotten - Multiple Sclerosis much good either...

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 04/08/2009 20:47

Can't believe that Steph was willing to increase her chances of getting breast cancer again for the sake of Libby - has she forgotten about Charlie?

Oh what a surprise Bridget is having a pregnancy emergency. Hey Dr Karl, if her baby is very distressed would it help for her NOT to be flat on her back in bed?

SweetEm · 22/08/2009 15:16

I think the Sunny character may be enough to make me stop watching. Please tell me she's not going to be permanent.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 22/08/2009 20:56

Couldn't agree more about Sunny. Have you ever wanted a character to fall down a hole more?

OP posts:
BeautyandtheBreast · 24/08/2009 11:59

Falling off the cliff was just as satisfying as a hole! Shame they will no doubt find her.

And that must be the world's smallest festival ever - any bets on Bridget's baby coming whilst there?

milknosugarplease · 24/08/2009 23:30

love love love neighbours!!!!!...but oh god sunny has to go!! asap!!

love rebecca tho!!

Kathrina · 25/08/2009 16:54

Is it next month that Bridget dies? And the rest of the family then leave. I read somewhere.

Skimummy · 25/08/2009 21:39

How does everyone feel about having a baby with your parents (and Karl) on conference call? Awesome.

I should probably introduce myself as a Neighbours (and Home and Away) fan...much to my DH's disgust.

It's so bad, I love it!

crockydoodle · 25/08/2009 22:01

Is the baby going to be alright?

milknosugarplease · 25/08/2009 23:18

surely i cant be the only person who wsnts to dig a big hole and keep miranda and sunny in it! god i hate 'em!!!!!!

ye the babys ok

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 09/09/2009 16:42

Steph is so annoying. She and Lucas had a "moment" - just get over it.

OP posts:
bambipie · 10/09/2009 17:57

My question is, who took Harry's neck?

I would like a moment with Lucas too.

SweetEm · 22/09/2009 14:24

Where did they find a little girl that is the spit of Declan?! It was uncanny!

Bambipie - lol! Every time harry's on screen all I can think about is that he has no neck! I'd never noticed before your post.

Wanderingsheep · 22/09/2009 19:52

Did anyone else shed a tear when Bridget died today? No...just me?

I don't know what's wrong with me! Must be the time of the month [ashamed].

Anniek · 22/09/2009 20:06

No I cried too

Do think the actor playing Declan did a fantastic job of showing the pain I'd imagine you'd feel in real life if you were unfortunate enough to suffer a loss

Agree I thought the girl must be his in real life, she had his eyes.

Wanderingsheep · 22/09/2009 20:33

Glad I wasn't the only one Anniek!

Skimummy · 22/09/2009 22:13

I may have shed a tear as well.

Between that and Belle dying on Home and Away this week...

Stayingsunnygirl · 23/09/2009 09:11

I did get a bit emotional when Bridget died.

BUT - Ohhh My God!!!!! (rant alert)

I wish that the producers would get their medical stuff even vaguely correct!!!!!!!!!

When Bridget was having her operation, she had a clear oxygen mask on her face - so was getting no anaesthetic whatsoever. None. And she didn't have an endotracheal tube in her throat (what you have when you can't breathe for yourself and need ventilation) BUT there was a ventilator working (the rhythmic hiss and click sound).

For major surgery like that, she would have been intubated and on a ventilator - not just on oxygen. And there would have been a screen up over her chest, to reduce the risk of the anaesthetic equipment desterilising the surgical field - I used to be an operating theatre nurse.

Then afterwards, when she was supposedly in Intensive Care - lo and behold, she still had the oxygen mask on, but we could still hear the bl**dy ventilator in the background. She wasn't on a ventilator - but tv soap directors seem to think that any patient with an oxygen mask on is being ventilated so we get the noise going on - sometimes we even see the flippin' ventilator - but it's not connected to the patient - they are getting oxygen through the ordinary green tubing that connects directly to the oxygen supply on the wall.

And she looked very fit after her operation too. People look pale and ill after surgery.

Ok - rant over - sorry. As you were.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 23/09/2009 14:37

I thought Declan's acting was great. I was surprised that I was moved - had been really looking forward to getting rid of Bridget. They did really drag it out though. Steve will never be able to forgive himself.

addictedtomn · 23/09/2009 15:26

please someone tell me they dont take the baby from declan - i was crying watching today episode. they cant take him away from her daddy, declan promiced he would take care of her - please someone tell me its going to be ok.

(or you could tell me that its only a tv programme and not real life and to stop obsessing!)

TheMaskedPoster · 23/09/2009 18:45

Oooooo I love Neighbours!!
Poor Didge (although I ranted at her character constantly as she grated on me) and poor Declan (good acting). Ahh well - bring in the next family for me to shout about...

oh and on the subject of the medical facts - I love the way there seems to be only one other doc besides Dr Karl AND the receptionist is also a nurse/doctor/consultant AND there are only two rooms in the hospital! great stuff

FarkinBarkin · 23/09/2009 20:54

There's definitely a "Don't marry young or your spouse will die" theme going on this week in Neighbours and Home & Away isn't there?

Does anyone know why Sophie Ramsay looks like a female version of the actor who played Toby Mangel? Are they related?
