Bitter is good. It sucks when they don't release things over here (and then get self-righteous about people downloading things!) Our DVD player (£17 from Sainsbo's amazingly enough) is multiregion, so I've bought R1 DVDs before, but I shouldn't have to.

Whilst I'm moaning actually I'd also like to whinge about the fact that R1 DVDs are cheaper, and have more extras than the ones released over here. Why? Why do we not deserve them?! looks pointedly at Supernatural publishers

a friend of mine has a top of the range dvd player and it plays jack all.. Ours is from Sainsbo's using necter points and plays everything... we don't have alot of US stuff but a few things... I would love a copy of Dr. Horrible as DS keeps asking to listen to it in my ipod but I doubt he can remember actually watching the show... and while I'm bitching I'm still peevish at DH for trading in our copy of Once More With Feeling...

oh and while we are at it, why when you buy or rent dvds here you have to troll through 5 pages of diffrent languages to get to freaking English? and the extras are always lame.

I have been busily converting two twitter friends to Supernatural.. I may invite them on here but they really need to be hooked first before we scare them off... and we aren't bad compared to what is out there.... are we? begins to doubt integrity

The many pages of languages is because it isn't UK, tis "European" hence many many languages and UK is right at the end of the alphabet

Anybody DL the new show before Supernatural?

The Vampire Diaries Yes it's the show that ITV2 ditched Supernatural for (or should I say it's the show ITV2 can afford!) but it's pretty good (hot, hot pretty vampires goes all unnecessary and girly)

I am not talking to ITV2 nor watching any of its inferior offerings. Harumph.

Not defending them in the slightest, but I think ITV2 are screwed financially. VD will be a lot cheaper as an unknown series, and I think Living just outbid them (I honestly don't think they just dropped it)

Iklboo - Living will be showing it, which is fine if you get it, but a bit of a bugger if you don't (unless you're prepared to acquire it through other means nudge nudge, wink wink)

SoH - don't think of it as an ITV2 thing, think of it as SPN's warm up act on the CW.

Oh yes, MIL's local village for local people has an excruciating (though possibly hilarious depending on punch consumption) Christmas Spectacular. Think local farmer shuffling out on stage with a 15 minute ode he's penned to a turkey he plans to eat this year. Oh how I wish I was kidding. Anyway, somehow not only have I agreed to this, but have implicated DH by proxy and it tranpires that we will be singing Fairytale of New York at said show. MIL's even asked if 'that nice friend of yours from the city would play the piano for you'. Said friend is a professional musician and really not interested in wilting mince pies and dusty village halls. What the bloody hell have I done?

Phew - yes we do get Living. Any news on when they're going to start showing it? Me & my mate need our Winchester fix. She's a Sam fan, I'm a Dean girl - we're planning to kidnap them and double date

Had seen the ladle/crotch shot as linked by somebody on my flist but not the others. Very much liked the moody Jen shot. He's extraordinarily pretty isn't he? J2 make a remarkable pair but still refuse to ship it (that said, serenity are you familiar with an AU RPS verse involving teacher!Jen and student!Jared- trying to be non specific here. Good lord, there are no words).
