Think this is on tonight. I love it. it always makes me cry and ridiculously proud to be British

Who do you think should win it? No doubt a whole host of accolades for our Olympians, I'd like Rebecca Adlington to win, she seems like such a normal hardworking young girl, a really good role model.

I am really excited about this!!

Chris Hoy, Lewis Hamilton was second, Becky Addlington third.

DH is so gutted; he's been calling that 1st, 2nd, 3rd for days now and didn't put any money on it!!

Really pleased for Chris Hoy.
He totally deserved it, simply for the length of time that he has been at the very top of his sport. Rebecca Adlington and Lewis Hamilton are on their way now, there's plenty of time for them to win the main prize.

Many people don't recognise the feat of Ben Ainslie (sailing) - just think they can only compete in one class per Olympics - he has won 4 Gold medals (in two different classes) - thats a top sailor over 16 years of Olympics - plus he won the World title in his type of boat at least 4 times. I'm sure Ben will win another in 2012.

Pleased though with Chris Hoy / Rebecca - all those hours and hours of training stuff they do. If Lewis is a non UK resident (tax purposes) he should only be allowed to get the overseas award. Others have gone abroad for training (Murray etc) but its not the same as going off for tax purposes.

i think we were spoilt this year, the olympians didn't just win , they broke records, won multiple races etc. Must have been so hard not to fill the entire final short list with olympic winners. The applause that Chris Hoy received, and rightly, was amazing- he has been a great ambassador for the sport.

I would have liked Ben Ainslie to be in the final 3, but Louis has a large following, so he was always going to feature- especially having missed out last year.
