Think this is on tonight. I love it. it always makes me cry and ridiculously proud to be British

Who do you think should win it? No doubt a whole host of accolades for our Olympians, I'd like Rebecca Adlington to win, she seems like such a normal hardworking young girl, a really good role model.

I am really excited about this!!

Joe Calzaghe for me! I know he won last year but his overall achievements make him an outstanding athlete. Plus he might retire now so he won't have a chance to win it again! I've never been a boxing fan until I saw him fight Jeff Lacey and I was blown away by him.

its typical, some years we are so rubbish at sport and there is nobody that springs to mind and then this year there are loads that deserve to win.

I'm crying now watching the Paralympics on the awards........i'm not keen on that Christina the athlete........didnt she refuse to take drugs tests?

she missed a drug test afaik, didnt refuse to take it.

no she didn't refuse - she missed 3 drugs tests - but never refused to take them.

I still can't decide - think all of them on that list have done really well this year.

although I think if I had to vote it would be for Lewis Hamilton as DS1 would be absolutely thrilled to bits if he was to win

i know lewis hamilton earns loads and the others dont, but he is the youngest person to win a the grand prix and has faced alot of racism in what is a predominantly white sport
