PMSL at that bloke's comment on the Xtra factor - the finalists all being better than Britney because they sang live and she just mimed. He said what the Nation was thinking

God the more I think about it the more outraged I am by an effing major artist not effing singing in a live singing show.

well now that Ruth has gone,I think JLS should win simply cos Diana shouldn't be in it at this point and Alex is brilliant and Eoghan is neither here nor there.Think they should win cos they deserve it.

at first I really liked Diana but her voice is becoming a joke - she sings through her nose - she is trying too hard to be 'quirky' (think that's the word) and it just doesn't sound right anymore. And the bare feet and everything - I want her to go next week!

The little one who looks like a Chucky doll - can't be arsed to check how to spell his name - is ok but doesn't have the looks and his voice is really nothing special.

Alex is very good but doesn't have star quality imo.

Therefore, the only ones I feel can possibly win and make it as a real group are JLS. There are reasonably attractive and there is a gap in the market for a boy band - particularly a Black British boy band - I just can't see any of the others being successful - none of the individuals are anything compared to Leona Lewis imo

Can't believe Ruth went when Diana was so bloody awful. I know Ruth can be a bit shouty but she was still 100% better than Diana any day.

Can't understand how Eoghan is still there either.

Alex has the best voice by far, but she is starting to annoy me ever so slightly. She is getting a bit divaish.

I don't know who I want to win it now.

I don't think that Alex is getting divaish at all. I think that's a totally unfair comment. Wotsit Friedmann is giving her great stage sets. I'm amazed he's not done the same for JLS and Louis (who I still don't like) told us all that Diana never dances and Cheryl said she wouldn't make her do something she doesn't want to. That kind of makes me think of Diana as divaish! Diana also gets some great stage sets but sadly the cost of the sets means she's had to forfeit her shoes.

I wasn't sure about Miley, I'm not sure that she did because some of her words sounded out of breath as she sang. I prefer her dad I think (but then I've had Hannah Montana overload in this house)

Here's what I think ...not that anyone really cares!!!
Alex...Leona mark 2. Will probably win because this sort of singer always does well in these competitions but do we really need another Leona? I don't think so but then I don't like Leona either..not saying she's not a fantastic singer. I just don't like her style of music.
Diana...Loved her to start with purely because she wasn't another Leona. I think her voice needs some help..training. As the competition has gone on she hasn't improved but I think she could be brilliant. She has the most potential imo.
Eoghan...I just don't get him at all. Thought it was my age but dd (11) doesn't like him either and was mortified by what he did to hsm!! His voice is weak and lacks any depth...he only sounds ok when you can't hear him for the backing singers! Read somewhere that he is winning the public vote every week. Not sure if it's true but it would explain Simon's confidence in a boy who is, essentially, a nice enough lad but not a very good singer and lacks any personality.
JLS...I'm indifferent. Given that they have been in the bottom 2 they probably won't win. Plus I don't like Louis Walsh and I don't think he's doing them any favours.
Ruth... nice girl, good singer but not as good as Alex, I just don't know who she would appeal to. I wouldn't buy her records, neither would my older ds and my dd didn't like her either. Probably was time for her to go.
The biggest disappointment for me this series was Laura. I loved her. Ruth was better in that sing off but Laura had far more potential and a better chance of success imo.
