scriti politi?

robinpud · 22/10/2008 22:00

Having grown up in the same neck of the woods, I am amazed that she finds anywhere to go at that time of night, cos it's not exactly a buzzing metropolis!

the inside story is that
a the camera crew moved into the cottage next door ( whilst that family wt away on nice holiday paid for by the programme) and then drilled lots of holes in the wall for the cameras.. which the landlords weren't amused by;

b the oldest daughter had a big wedding shortly after the programme was finished filming..

NotAnOtter · 22/10/2008 22:00

i AM that mum

all stern and stressed when she comes in and dh and dd have cooked and the kitchen is messy

that is bloody me!!!

ScareyBitchFeast · 22/10/2008 22:00

NotAnOtter · 22/10/2008 22:08

yes she did

kiddiz · 22/10/2008 23:03

"It all makes me sooooo glad I haven't got a daughter."
I don't want to scare you Gunnerbean....But I have a 17 yr old ds who could give Emily a very good run for her money!!!!!

filz · 23/10/2008 08:10

I am laughing at someone saying its samey, of course its samey, its REAL LIFE, its not some over animated reality program. I can just relate to it so much!

I am sure Emily can find somewhere to go at that time of night. I live near Canterbury and lots of places are open, even in our sleepy town. I was quite suprised how late people stay up (of all ages) and how late they rise in the morning, when i moved here.

Loved the Mum "Are you going to wear a coat?"

FimboGotAxed · 23/10/2008 11:20

The mum is a cold fish imo. Poor Tom was trying to comfort her and she just ignored him.

trixiethepixie · 23/10/2008 12:58

Ahhhh I missed it last night.

Emily is spoilt and seems to think the world revolves around her - but then so was I at that age. Difference being my mum would have kicked my ass if I gave her cheek and if I didn't go out to work and give her housekeeping the door was there for me to move out.

I bet she's on the coke or e's. Familiar pattern from my younger days. Heading out late, out to the early hours and sleeping all day.

Thank God I've a son.

bigTillyMint · 23/10/2008 15:25

I think it's a bit sad that she is not a student at uni - I lived the life she is living at 19, but not in my mother's house.

But I do think she is really lucky having a big cuddly daddy.

My DH feels really sorry for the dad, who does seem to be stuck between the two of them, even though he does handle it badly at times!

I thought his idea for Emily to write down her "rules" was great - make her take some responsibility.

NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:32

i think it would be healthier for all concerned for mum and dad to ask emily to move out

kiddiz · 23/10/2008 21:35

Ahh trixiethepixie as I said earlier I have a 17 yr old ds who drives me every bit as mad as Emily does her parents...to be fair though he doesn't pinch my clothes!!!!
He was a delight until he hit 15 and then he turned in to a terror. He does all the distraction and turning things around that Emily does. (Did you notice how she managed to turn herself into the victim in the jumper incident....She basicaly lied about having the jumper until she realised she'd been rumbled on facebook by her sister so she then painted her self the victim of a telltale!! Good old Tom for seeing straight through her!)
I am constantly trying to negotiate with him and reason with him and talk him round. He'll sit there and agree with me and then do the opposite!

NotAnOtter · 23/10/2008 21:46

well i have boys and girls and ime the boys are more shall we say 'honest'

DrTreeHugger · 23/10/2008 21:49

I've always said boys eithr love you or hate you. Girls are far more coniving

ScareyBitchFeast · 23/10/2008 21:53

i think emily was just using her dad, giving him that cuddle, it was mum she needed to make up with but she knew dad had a soft touch with the jumper incident.
unbelievably rude - i am watchingn the tv - in response

RottenOtter · 29/10/2008 21:04
