aw dittany, don't repeat that old debate again

people will never agree

I actually hope that the programme, even though I don't agree with its content, will open some eyes among the fence-sitters

beanieb · 06/10/2008 22:53

Dittany - I refer you to my earlier post.

Anyfucker
night night.

Fatbob · 06/10/2008 22:53

It opened my eyes, honestly not been to one for about 3 years or so, and it was nothing like that before... and i do think that there does not need to be so many of them.

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 22:55

night night beanieb

Fatbob · 06/10/2008 22:55

they seem to show the same footage over and over again...

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 22:56

fatbob, you ahve your skyplus on repeat you silly bugger

wintera · 06/10/2008 22:56

Bet my Mum watched this! She is in her 70's and always says to me "did you watch such and such? oh it was disgusting. I never knew about such things!" She doesn't switch it off though!! She watched Queer as folk before I did too. It gave her a right education!

Most shocking thing we've seen in our house tonight was Johnny Rotten advertising butter! Terrifying!

doh !! i thought i was taping the freeview on TVX ?

fruitstick · 06/10/2008 22:57

I think it was heartwarming to see a journalist showing such dedication and thoroughness in his work. So much so that he had to see the lesbian show twice, just to make sure it wasn't a one off!

There's no point complaining to C4 incidentally, you need to complain to Ofcom in you have an issue.

Although the watershed is 9pm it is not an anything goes cut off point and broadcasters have to take into consideration the followon audience from the programme before. Programmes can get more extreme as the evening progresses and it certainly makes a difference if the images had been set up to appear in the middle of a programme rather than out of the blue. The issue here would be that there was quite explicit images and language from the first minutes of the programme, almost dead on 9 o'clock.

Personally, I thought the whole programme was hilarious (love the gentlemen's club next to the wedding shop) but can see why other viewers would find it unacceptable.

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 22:58

I know dittany

It wasn't meant to be about that.

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 22:59

beanieb · 06/10/2008 22:59

and given that the preceding programme was a Time Time Dinosaur special I would argue that there were probably quite a few children still in the room at the time.

anyfucker · 06/10/2008 23:05

Fatbob · 06/10/2008 23:07
