If I was making a programme about a bank robbery I would certainly want the point of view of the bank robbers if I could get it!!

9pm is the watershed...

Would love to have been a fly on the wall in the production/ editing suite of this.
Were they debating how to make it as titillating as possible or sat there saying 'oh we really do have to show her fanjo four times as otherwise the viewers won't know what goes on'.

I suppose the real debate is whether 9pm is a suitable watershed these days? My daughter is only 3 so she is in bed well before 9 but my 12 year old niece and 14 year nephew are still up at 9pm. Maybe watershed should be 10 nowadays? Christ, imagine if Mary Whitehouse was still around? She would have had a field day with this!

The other side would show women who are happy in their jobs and who don't break the rules. They are still showing the same shots or and over, lack of footage perhaps?

Obviously the laws/regulations are being abused by some clubs, and obviously those clubs should pay whatever the penalty is. Many others are not.

my beef was with the editing of the programme and the very graphic nature of the scenes

I am surprisingly neutral about it (horses for courses etc, but no way is my DH going within 200 yds)

I just don't want to see it on my terrestrial telly at 9:30pm

but in my day (yes, I am very old) this type of footage would never be shown on good old normal telly and that is a good thing

if you want it, and I accept many people do, you should have to use an alternative medium

A... final thing I'm going to say about it tonight as I am tired:

If, as a parent, you decide 'oh, that lapdancing programme is on - the Dispatches thing' and you have kids who are still up, what you do is either record it and watchit when they are not around, or send them upstairs to get ready for bed/do stuff in their rooms/something else. You don't put it on and then moan about it being rude when it's after the watershed.

If you turned it on without realising there was going to be nudity then you turn it off again. You don't leave it on and then piss and moan about it being rude.

The whole point of this programme sems to be to prove that some dancers touch some men.
