I really don't get the Izzy in love with George storyline.

Yup, I hear you. How she went from the heart guy to George makes no sense. He's a complete wimp.

Does anyone know why Burke isnt in this one?

Burke got into trouble in RL by making some comments about George's sexuality and instead of apologising gracefully he made it worse on stage at an award ceremony (pillock) so they fired him and wrote him out
