missed the first 20 minutes...
I'm quite glad to see so many casts of different vulvas. I never bothered about mine, but then I'm 41 somaybe a slightly different generation to some and thankfully mine doesn't look much differentr to most.
I was asked by one of my doula ladies if she should tidy up before the birth. I told her not to bother, she'd have to get it done professionally or else ask her dh. What's the point? We are designed to have pubic hair, we all have slight differences in our anatomy and that's it. I haven't enough time in the day to do anything more that a bit of 'weeding' to make sure that there are no stray hairs peeking out of my swimming costume.
but if your labia is so obviouly different and it affects your mental health then I think it might be worthwhile thinking about surgery. Not sure how much it affects your childbirth experience though... if you've had surgery how will it affect your vulva at the moment of birth? Will it split open?
