I’m really so impressed by Emma - she’s very natural & can do relaxed & formal effortlessly. She does looks incredible. I’m also a Delta fan - not of her music or prior to Strictly just enjoying watching her dance. I mean she did get a wind machine but she prob does know how to work with one. She does have a poise & confidence the others don’t so I can see why that works against her. But I got chills watching her dance. I do love a journey & improvement too but equally I can appreciate her style. I agree with PP’s each performer brings something that others won’t have like fitness & stamina etc I mean it’s Strictly!

Agree with all of this @Sadfrog

I guess I felt a youthfulness to her. I’m rubbish with guessing people’s ages above 25 and below 60 though in this day and age. As for Delta, I’m Aussie so know her a little more and she’s not known for being smug or perfect princess back home, she’s pretty chill and known for being nice.

The make up is so good these days

without make up she’s as wrinkly as the rest of us 😂

still gorgeous 😍😍

Recklessismymiddlename · 25/10/2026 20:53

Another who thought Lawrence didn’t look 100%. Sad Jamie in DO, she’s a great dancer, but I’m glad Shaun improved in the DO in front of his family. And another who thinks wtf Shirley?

Not around next weekend for the show or the results.

xsquared · 25/10/2026 20:53

I've not commented on the presenters at all since they started. They will find their feet I'm sure. Johannes has already improved immensely since his first episode in the Clauditorium, has Josh. At least he's not being handsy with the contestants anymore when they finish their dance, because that was weird!

I do hope they remain for another season at least, because whoever we get, there will still be complaints!

I kind of agree and sadly think women are the greatest critic of other successful,
women. However, regarding Jaime - is it the ‘nepo - baby’ tag?

She did mention that she started work as a runner, having the opportunity because of her dad. Many would love that opportunity as a way into a career as an actor. Such a difficult world to break into.

Yeah I do agree with you there, but nobody seems to be saying that about Dani and I don't know how to say this without sounding horrible because I like Dani, but Jaime is talented, she is a great actress, whereas Dani is really famous for Love Island and being a personality. No shade to Dani, as I say I really like her, but it seems a double standard to me.
Also how many tradespeople take their kids to work to teach them the job? It's not really any different. A famous Dad will open the door but if you don't put the graft in you won't last long.

Tinydanceer · 25/10/2026 20:54

xsquared · 25/10/2026 20:25

Calling her fake, smug and other things that are simply just your own perception of her is "hate" or anti Delta, whatever you'l wish to call it.

If experienced performers shouldn't be on Strictly , then we wouldn't have had many of the fantastic dances we've seen on Strictly.

Alexandra Burke
Alesha Dison
Faye Tozer
Danny Mac
Harry Judd
Jay McGuinness

just to name a few.

I know you'll probably just say, ah, but they're likeable, and round we go again. I accept you don't like her but I do think some posters like to remind us every time she's on.

No @xsquared saying you find her smug or fake is an impression not hate

If that were true posters would be criticising Emma Motsi and many of the amazing female pro dancers - I don’t know why people that like her find it so hard to accept others don’t - we all have our faves and that’s all it is

I think she is beautiful and quite non-high maintenance looking compared to a lot of women in the entertainment industry.

Lis947 · 25/10/2026 20:46

Oh really? I haven't read the whole thread, sorry. I don't see her as volatile. I've met Jaime a few times through work and she has always been absolutely lovely, she gives off a vibe of quiet confidence and she gets things done. I like that personally

I think someone said she’s like the women in the toilets you might see on a Friday night whom you don’t want upset in case they explode…or something similar

a few people have said wouldn’t want to be on her wrong side

that’s why I thought she was volatile

DeftGoldHedgehog · 25/10/2026 21:00

I find Jaime a bit rough TBH. In a way that Dani or Lacey aren't, oddly, coming from a similar background.

Tinydanceer · 25/10/2026 21:02

@Lis947 tradesmen are hardly comparable - they aren’t opening their children up to a very exclusive and privileged world

there will always be people a million times more talented than the nepo babies that won’t get a look in - look at some of the acts on BGT etc

Bluesandwhites · 25/10/2026 21:10

I love Jaime's dress.

People who are successful on reality tv shows have likeability, that's the common denominator. I am guessing that a lot of the Strictly audience don't know who Jaime is/haven't seen her in anything and think she's there because her dad is a famous actor.

TBF before the series started I had her confused in my mind with Jaime Murray who was on Hustle.

Saintsgirl7 · 25/10/2026 21:15

I love Delta, she's great, I really like Cach too and Lacey. Dani gets over marked week in week out, I thought she looked pretty stompy yesterday.

MilkBreadToiletroll · 25/10/2026 21:40

Delta just seems in a different league. I think she gives off super star vibes, like she'd walk into a room and everyone would look her way. She's been famous most of her life. Is that a help or a hindrance when connecting with an audience?

But that's just it, they do live in a different world, so in their world it's the same thing.
There have always been "Nepo babies" they just used to be called "acting dynasties" because they were usually posh, the Redgraves, Fox's, Mill's etc. Jaime is a very talented actress, has she had opportunities the rest of us haven't? If course she has, but we shouldn't automatically assume that she is going to be "up herself". I guess people like who they like though, some people come across better than others

It’s not even remotely comparable.. a tradesperson and an actor. Apple and oranges

I don’t see your point - whether it’s normal or not they know what they are doing, giving a leg up and how meaningful that may be. and yes it’s been going on since time, we all know the acting dynasties - I didn’t read anywhere people assumed she was up herself - they said she was volatile

its interesting to note the acting dynasties were in the age of deference - which we no longer have so it gets called out

That's a fair point about the deference. It still doesn't explain why people aren't liking Jaime and saying she is a Nepo baby, but not saying the same for Dani (and Shaun too come to that) I like them both, I just dont understand the reasoning. If they don't like someone then fair enough, but they shouldn't have double standards as that's not fair

Ah I see. It's funny how people see different things in people isn't it? She is actually lovelly, maybe a little guarded which might give that impression I guess.

There’s no comparison - no amount of nepotism can make someone a good footballer & football opens up opportunities for those with talent regardless of background. With Dani, she won Love Island & is an influencer as did Cach - so no nepotism there (although I concede she likely got LI because of her dad but could equally have gotten it without him given the calibre of contestants).

I don’t like Jaime as her personality doesn’t translate well on screen & all I know of her is that she has a famous dad (never seen her in anything). Lacey is coming across in a similar way, to be fair (lacking personality), however I’m an EE fan & like her as Stacey so that encourages me to vote for her.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · Yesterday 00:42

Anton was quite nasty to Shaun with his comments last night and tonight. No need.

Choppychop · Yesterday 01:27

I disagree about the ringer- I’m a dancer with a ballet background yet I would struggle hugely with ballroom, Latin and the rest. If I’m on a dance floor with my non dancer friends I’m the the most awkward person there as I don’t know how to just dance naturally without a tendu or an arabesque or a pirouette or a grandè leve - I just feel strange and awkward- I think sometimes it’s easier to be a natural dancer with no dance background such as Delta, Will, Tabby, John, Cach and Jamie - some of these are not faves however.

He was. I don’t like the vibe tbh. It’s the first Strictly ever where i have noticed a bitchy atmosphere, not from the dancers or professionals, but from the judges and presenters.
