I really look forward to the results show, but it's just for the big professionals dance and the 'intermission' where there's a singer and usually a couple of the pros dancing.

Otherwise I check the spoiler thread and ignore the results.

It was right that Sarah went, but I'm sad because I very much enjoy watching Julian. That outfit did her no favours - she reminded me of Patrick Swayze in To Wong Foo where he punched people while wearing chiffon and heels. Sarah is better than that. And to get mismatched music for the second week running was harsh.

I'll be mildly cheering for Tabby and Mark going forward.

@AlwaysExtraHot Tabby did gymnastics as a child and then did circus acts including trapeze, juggling and clowning for 6 years before she went to university. She looked completely natural spinning in the hoop when she did the Greatest Showman dance a couple of weeks ago.

I think she's one of these people who loves learning and gives everything a good go.

She is currently my favourite and I want to see her in the final. If she's there, then I hope they do the AT again.

Oh, of course, I'd forgotten about the circus stuff and the hoop! I don't think I knew about the gymnastics though.

Someone mentioned she looked like Rachel going to the prom in friends - she really did!

She was second from bottom in the table I believe

Bethany was 3rd from bottom of leaderboard.

She should not have been anywhere near the bottom imo. Others were technically not as good as her.

And I thought others were worse. Generally she's very good, but somehow doesn't seem too be shining.

I've realised now what the judges outfits reminded me of.

You know when it's 8pm on a random Tuesday and your 4 primary aged DC stroll casually up to bed mentioning it's world book day tomorrow, then you pull out everything in the junk drawer, and the spares for PE and the pile of out grown bits you keep meaning to vinted....you cobble something together with wonderweb because it's now 9pm and you'd rather be doing anything else, but ta da! You found a tambourine and a fisherman's hat, and a eyebrow pencil and made a costume which works if you don't look too closely.

The costumes were a bit cobbled together for Shirley and Motsi. I did like the men’s ones though.

To me that’s on Nancy - she never showcases her partners to get the best out of them but rather makes it all about herself & this week really made her look awful.

I thought Bethany looked fab this week. Lots of work on her own and Nancy was supporting her well IMO.

I didnt like Nancy and bethanys dance,I haven't liked any of them so far.
Bethany looked OK doing what she did,but for me it was Nancy who distracted in the dance-and not in a good way!

I thought Shirley was Paloma Faith until they said.

I couldn't get over Sarah's outfit. She looked like she was in drag. She'd have looked amazing in the original style Shania outfit.

I agree re the wigs. They've been so poor.

There’s one scene where Robin Williams’ brother is designing women’s face masks and putting together outfits to create the Mrs Doubtfire character and one of them looked exactly like how Sarah’s wig/outfit looked!!!

As soon as I saw Sarah all I could think of was Robin Williams dressed up as a woman in that film and then it was stuck in my head.

They really did her dirty!

I wonder if they are allowed to refuse the outfits if they are really bad? I’m guessing not seeing as what some of them wear (including the professionals).

I wondered if she didn't want to wear anything skimpy or figure-hugging? It was dreadful and, yes, very draggy.

I can't agree with the dislike for Nancy. I like her and think she makes good partnerships with her slebs. I love her and Bethany's relationship.

I think the wardrobe direction & fact they did Movies Week & Icons etc so soon is to try & appeal to a more social media format & :demographic. It’s about spectacle & how it might look not about the dancing now. (Although ofc it’s always been primarily an entertainment show). I may be wrong but have they always mentioned constantly where you can check more out on socials? Like the main presenters are including checking it out on blah more? I know it has to move with the times but it’s just looking a bit desperate. I wonder what the yoof do think of it - if any of them actually watch it?!

I also worry that Bethany and Nancy will be at a disadvantage as the competition progresses as without a male it is possible that there won’t be any stand-out lifts in the same way there is in the other couples where the men are literally just throwing the women around all over the place. Explosive show-stopping lifts do add something extra to the dance and I worry that it’s an ‘edge’ that Bethany and Nancy won’t be able to provide which may make their dances less memorable to the public. I hope they manage to find a way around this though and find their own way to provide that extra sparkle and wow-factor.
