I think wardrobe has changed this season I don’t know if it’s cuts to their budget or different direction but the wigs & some costumes have been god awful! I know Vicky Gill is still involved which is something at least (& some outfits have been great). Even the judges looked really poor I thought for Icons - prob already been said upthread.

in that wig! Lord only knows how styles Emma she always looks like a Dagenham housewife ! Considering she’s on such a glam show it’s awful a bloody grey suit last week ! Shame as she’s a naturally stunning woman

I agree - outfits have been AWFUL! Very panto 😳

Certainly in the first show, I thought contestants outfits were abysmal, but as the weeks have got me, it looks like some celebs and pros are being better dressed than others.

I thought both Tabby and Dani looked fantastic in their respective icon outfits, but others like Sarah and Graeme were not as convincing to put it kindly.

Bit of a shame Graeme is being set up to be the older comedy act - I kind of thought they’d removed the cliched categories but I suppose they milk the entertainment value when they can. It’s a shame bcos he loves dancing & is really trying but I spose he’s never going to be a real contender. Def regional panto in parts as PP’s are saying. I was really hopeful for this series but def feel it’s lost its magic.

Graeme is tall and can dance. Unfortunately his posture is off - his shoulders are hunched up, which doesn't help. Hopefully he'll get a ballroom dance where he can perform more strongly. I missed what they've got for next week.

Loved Tabby. Does she have any performance background? If not then she is a serious natural talent. She's just one of those people I love to watch dancing.
Liked Jaime and Carlos. Difficult song to paso too, so compliments to C. Also compliments to the band for arranging it.
Didn't like Lawrence and Jowita. Excellent lifts but he didn't really do any salsa.
Cach was great. So classy. I respect him a lot more now he's admitted to whining and that he should have just listened to Maddie from the start
They sold Sarah down the river with a mismatch of song and dance style; she did a good job of acting Shania Twain, but it didn't make for a good tango.
Bethany was sassy and fun. Lack of cha cha hips though. I'm pleased she's survived.
Graeme is definitely the comedy contestant and I don't like that. He can dance and I want to see him doing it properly.
John was stompy. Overmarked.
Will and Dianne were overmarked too. Solid gold jive song, but it lacked energy and pumping action. I find her choreography dated and simplistic too.
Shaun was OK but I feel like he's on borrowed time.
Lacey and Dani I just find forgettable.

Tabby is my favourite @AlwaysExtraHot- tries very hard, great personality & seems to be really improving.

Tabby's great. I hope she's not at a disadvantage by having a new and unknown pro.

I think they're a lovely partnership and viewers/voters will like that, even though he's new.

I find him utterly charming, humble and lovely.
(And a great dancer, with fantastic arm muscles and handsome too) 🤣

I certainly prefer him over some of the more well-known dancers.

I watch strictly on catch up later in the evening once my youngest is in bed.
For the first time ever we have only been watching half the show and finishing it off on the Sunday.
It isnt gripping me at all, no real favourites so far.
I have always skipped through the results show to the end,all I want to see is who is in danger and who wins the DO.
Could do this in 5mins on the Saturday show if remove all the shite (skits and training VTs)
Jowita is starting to annoy me,
I was so excited she was joining and I did enjoy her with Hamza but she is all about jowita now.
Gurning and showing off every chance she gets.
Alexis is growing on me and maddie seems nice.
Jojo is improving each week,but still annoys.(what's with calling people puppy? That's worse than joshy for me)
Emma fine,I like her outfits (least she doesnt wear white stiletto shoes)
Josh would work on his own upstairs,maybe tone down all the screeching and look at me acting from some.

For me Alexis was a bit Jowita ish last year (lots of gymnastics, slightly "ta-da! here I am, I will now dance around my celeb") this year she's been much better, calmed down I think and is perhaps bringing out the best in Shaun.

I hope the BBC reads MN about the costume design (and for goodness' sake stop raiding the Tesco Halloween aisle for the wigs. I know they need to make cutbacks but 3 for 2 on bright orange plastic hair pieces is a step too far)
