@IPartridge Everyone is normally told who was up for murder in these situations as the others go back into the game, and there's normally heat on them.

I know Romesh was joking but it would have made more sense to give him the key as he is the one most likely to be murdered. Why would they bother murdering Leigh-Anne?

That's because she never puts forwards any theories or has anything useful to say! She swans around in designer gear smiling enigmatically and saying absolutely nothing . Outside of her Traitor interviews she's getting absolutely no screen time because she's not doing anything.

True, but she's welcome in groups, and agrees and adds a tiny bit to their theories but nothing contentious, so isn't under suspicion at all. She's playing a good game, I think.

Bella does seem nice, but I think many of them decided she is clever because she uses long words (not always correctly, lucrative??) And the non binary thing, therefore is philosophically advanced. Having worked in a university for nearly 20 years, they are 10 a penny. And actually quite dull. She was more interesting than most of them. But not the smartest person there by a long shot. That's Miranda and Maya for me. And Maya is underestimated because of her looks, and Love Island, which is working well for her.

Yes its not a million miles from the logic last year that Stephen must be the super brain despite his poor reading of people every episode.

Plus of course in Traitors that kind of cleverness or or even gaming experience isn't always useful - the skills of a good con artist, lawyer, sales person, business consultant, beauty industry specialist etc all depend on reading people accurately for a living. On paper these people should be the most successful if they can also keep in the middle of the pack in the early rounds.

I noticed that random 'lucrative' from Bella as well and wondered if I'd misheard! I also wonder how many re-takes they had to do when people said 'she/her' because once we've learned to speak we say pronouns correctly without conscious thought by mistake.

I wondered if Joe had refused to go along with it as he wasn’t asked about her. I actually found it very confusing in the context of the game as whenever they said ‘they’ I couldn’t always tell if it was the group or a small group of them, or Bella. It was very distracting.

Pinkbox · Yesterday 22:50

Poor DD got quite wobbly when the hand hit the window and then we saw the burning footsteps - they do seem to go slightly overboard every so often. It’s on at 8 not 9 so not past the watershed, if that’s still a thing. I guess people are far more tolerant of far more these days, in every sense.

Thisusernameisalwaysavailable · Yesterday 22:50

This is an interesting turn because now 3 (maybe 4) people absolutely 100% know who who 3(4) faithfuls are.

TrepidationOfTheSpheres · Yesterday 22:53

I think the idea is that they won't know 100%, if they realise that traitors could have included one or more of themselves in the group. Whether they will be told that, or work it out on their own, or not, I'm not sure!

murasaki · Yesterday 22:53

@Pinkbox It's very cartoonish, maybe she's a bit young for it.

murasaki · Yesterday 22:55

I really hate the schedule, the tension is lost with a 6 day gap.

They could have included a traitor and normally do.

C8H10N4O2 · Yesterday 22:57

Two episodes a week could work but they should make it Tuesday/Friday or similar gap to episodes evenly across the weeks. That would also be more effective for maintaining conversations between episode (which is why soaps do it).

rosagarten · Yesterday 23:01

crabbyoldbat · Yesterday 21:39

Exactly this. It was the best she could do, and it also saved her having to return to talk of the shield shenanigans, where all she could do is sound weak and defensive.

Agreed, I was stunned at her brilliance there. I wouldn't have believed she was a traitor if I had been them. She's turning into a better traitor than James A who just keeps his head down.

Aquasoap · Yesterday 23:02

BitterTits · Yesterday 21:26

Oh come on, that's just Romesh's schtick.

I don't think it was. I was disappointed as I'm normally a massive Romesh fan.

rosagarten · Yesterday 23:02

TrepidationOfTheSpheres · Yesterday 21:08

Also they keep saying Leanne has no heat on her, but lots of people were accusing her the other night because of the make up thing! But they do have short memories in this game

So do I, I'd forgotten that!

ScaredButUnavoidable · Yesterday 23:04

So if they go to Leigh-Anne’s hut and try to kill her and they realise the door doesn’t open, do they then get to decide “ok, we can’t have our first choice so who is our second choice?” and go and murder them instead?

Or is it a case of they get one choice and that’s it? So if they do choose Leigh-Anne and cant murder her, all 4 of them will be there for breakfast?

And if they do go knocking for Leigh-Anne but cant murder her, and murder their second choice instead, it will be interesting to see if Leigh-Anne admits she was actually the Traitors first choice (i.e they tried to open her door but couldn’t) or whether she’d keep quiet about it? As she may feel that admitting to the whole room that she was the Traitor’s first choice for the kill might make her look suspicious for some reason? So many possible mind games.

Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

I agree that waiting 6 days is way too long.

Also agree that Julie was so, so annoying on Uncloaked. I had to stop watching it.

CaveMum · Yesterday 23:08

Umbilicat · Yesterday 22:19

I actually think it would serve Romesh and Robb right if one of them was murdered, they’ve been playing it very safe and that is no accident. I really want Ross to stay for the LOLs.

I think you’ll find the correct way to address him is “Ross Kemp (full name)” thank you very much 😜

It's - pick a door and that's your luck. The others are safe
But likely will get suspicions from other players the next day as they will assume one of them to be a traitor.

Also, if you had the key to keep you safe and the other 3 know that's, and you aren't killed, that will look like the key holder is a traitor.

All in all, I don't like this game.

Edited

See I really liked her on uncloaked! Thought it was actually very sweet how she admitted that she felt very flattered being talked about because she felt like a lesser ‘celeb’.

Ed’s hair is dreadful. Like a 15 year old’s. No offence to 15 year olds.

No, not the opposite; the corollary.

😂 I bet you're not wearing make up.

Watching the reaction to Richard’s initial “I’m a traitor” - I find it odd that everyone didn’t just laugh rather than instantly believe him and tell everyone. His going is a loss. Odd too that no one has picked up on Rob and Rom being friends - they’d be ideal traitors together but it’s not been suggested. My favourites are Jerry, James B and Ros

I can't honestly see the producers putting two people known to be good friends in together as traitors. It wouldn't make for a particularly interesting tower, and it would be unfair to the third person. I could however see them putting one in, if only for the fun of winding up the other one.

Usually the ones kept back from screen time go far in the game. We see enough of them later on iykwim

This! I’ve been saying it since the first series!

Academic, nerdy or posh-sounding people are always assumed to be traitors. They always come for the doctors, scientists (poor Kas: “Dr by day, killer by night) etc.

Yet, if you look at the more/most successful traitors (Amanda, Wilf, Harry, Rachel) they’ve not been like this. They’ve been personable, strong under pressure, good strategists and rather underestimated.

Just like they always think the most successful faithfuls are the traitor hunters, whereas the more successful faithfuls are the meeker, more easily fooled people, as they’re kept in. To win as a faithful, you have to guess who the traitors are and befriend/protect them - or act clueless. Which means it’s just as hard to be a winning faithful as it is to be a winning traitor (because you have to fool the traitors).

But Leigh-Anne didnt really play any part in getting the key, I don’t think she even asked for it. It felt like Ross and Rob basically just gave it to her in a form of Chivalry. Her not being able to be murdered is a result of their actions really as opposed to her playing an active role in that decision/outcome so why would that raise suspicion around her?

I'm not liking Miranda much. I thought I would love her. 🤣

I thought I'd hate her but I'm loving her! Smart and funny.

They might not spin it that way afterwards.
