I actually preferred Tess’s delivery of the results, Emma needs a bit more umph. Apart from that she very smooth.
I actually thought Josh was great upstairs, really natural and funny.
JoJo is so adored but I’ve a feeling that could flip into being irritating in this role. Must be such a pressure for them all.

Agree Josh was really cringey with the judges and I think they lost patience with him.

Poor Josh. I bet he wished he hadn’t taken on the contract now all the flack his been getting everywhere.
He sounded like he had a cold too.

Josh is a comedian and wants to use it. JoJo is humourless so that pairing didn’t go well.
Emma is good, but and I never thought I’d say it, I’m missing Tess in that role.

Tess was given a lot of criticism for being too ‘ wooden ‘ and not that good . I am beginning to feel it’s a bit of a poisoned chalice this show!

I feel sorry for Josh. He is getting so much criticism but I think he is ok and definitely improved in week 2 from the first week.

People criticising him making jokes with/about the judges - do you not think the comments are scripted? I think there is a good chance they are so to have a go at him is out of order

I don’t think Josh is necessarily the problem, I just don’t think they need three presenters.

I thought that too, and I'm generally a fan of Emma. But of the 3 of them, I suspect the other 2 would have been far worse.

Amy collapsed backstage as they were about to record the results show. It was with something unrelated to cancer, advised to rest but she broke her foot on resuming.
Probably the chemo increased her chances of breaking it.

Especially when none of the previous series had 3 presenters at once. For a few series, Bruce did the live show then Claudia did the results. But not all 3 at the same time.

The excessive third presenter will show up more as the series progresses with fewer couples left

I suspect the aim was to avoid direct comparison by not having a new Tess and a new Claudia but that has spectaculy backfired.

Nadiya, Jay and Kimberley again

Not a fan of Nadiya on ITT & Kimberley & Jay just seem a bit pointless!

Amy would actually be great on ITT in the Nadiya role there as she does have a personality. Or Karen Harding or Joanne Clifton - experts in their field but also upbeat personalities.

They seem to have binned Karen Hardy quite a while ago but I’d really like to see her in Shirley’s role tbh

Not really, people can be rough whatever their class. Plus she had an advantaged acting family background anyway.

It's a huge risk to do it. He was already enjoying a nice little number doing the podcast and various tele shows. He knew he was a wild card as a choice for Strictly and would come under the microscope and get a lot of flak, regardless of how he performed. I get that it'd be hard to say no to the money and opportunity but it's just not worth it for your sanity and peace of mind.

I noticed the same. She sounded totally flat.
In fact, none of them sound authentic to me. They all seem like they're showing up for the money and going through the motions. Claudia kind of grew up with it. She was invested in it. The dancers felt like her mates. She did ITT and mucked about with Len. Tess too was there through its heyday. These 3 new ones are just jobbing presenters. It's sadly lost its heart for me now.

The three presenters are definitely unnecessary, I think this would’ve only worked if they had the third presenter doing a new segment like Johannes visiting the couples in training as part of the VTs, or Josh as a live backstage roving reporter in hair and make up, interviewing some of the audience guests, etc. It worked slightly better during the results with more rotation between the three, I think Josh needs more interaction with the contestants and Johannes, more with the judges.
