Early for the Week Two thread but ITT doesn’t seem to be attracting a lot of traffic so I think it’ll work. I’ll do another on the night if I have to.

KEEP DANCING 💃💃

The wig could have danced on its own!

I was actually crying with laughter about that wig 😂. Bless him! I think it might save him from the dance off

I think they needed to come up with some “major changes”

perhaps for the bbc that’s trailblazing changes

It's not a change though as they've done that for years!

RoxieLoxy · 03/10/2026 20:53

I found it a bit boring. Wished they’d move the judges around although none of them are bad are they. Just not doing the roles they’d be best at.

I wonder if I’m just comparing it to the Traitors which is absolutely brilliant and non-stop entertainment while it’s on. I don’t know.

Yes would be good to have different judges - I’d always want to keep Craig - quite happy for the rest to go

chaosmaker · 03/10/2026 20:54

It's sad though, the BBC used to be the channel that took risks like The Young Ones and Monty Python's Flying Circus.

I thought it was usually Shirley - oh well - what are the bloody changes then?

all standing on dance floor at the end and two presenters downstairs

The show is missing a proper ringer. I like to be wowed by at least one dance.

Delta maybe

Years ago women used to dance together because they're weren't enough blokes to partner with. It really doesn't matter.

My daughter has danced since she was 6 - it’s still very common in the local ballroom and Latin competitions as there aren’t enough boys dancing as they get older.

once they move into the national/semi pro circles people advertise far and wide for male-female partnerships!

Yeah I think that's about it, pointless.

dont be - thank you for what your doing 😍😍

Indigovelvet · 03/10/2026 20:58

Shirley looks happy. Papers say she has a new fella.

NotHereforthis101 · 03/10/2026 20:58

I don’t miss Tess - Emma is a decent/better presenter.

Josh is a no for me. He looks like a spare part. I think they’re trying make him the new Bruce but he’s got none of the charisma.

JoJo would have made a better judge than presenter IMO.

Iocanepowder · 03/10/2026 20:59

Melanie got my 5 votes

wontsomeonethinkofthechimdren · 03/10/2026 20:59

I miss Johannes dancing to be honest

You’re only as young as the man you feel!

lancslass17 · 03/10/2026 21:02

Thoroughly enjoyed and this week Johannes was my favourite presenter really connected with the celebs. Josh I find a little irritating Emma strong and steady.

TennisWithDeborah · 03/10/2026 21:02

I felt for Melanie. I didn’t vote for her but I think that if she’s in the DO despite the Gavin & Stacey love and manages to reduce the mistakes, she’ll get through against Chris, Shaun or Sarah.

RainbowSnake · 03/10/2026 21:03

My votes have gone to Bethany, Lacey, and Tabby.

Felixthewonderdog · 03/10/2026 21:05

I think the show is tired and probably had its day

how many more years can they trot out the same formula?

PrincessScarlett · 03/10/2026 21:06

4 of my votes have gone to Lawrence. I thought he was hard done by tonight (particularly as Shaun was given 7s) and had the worst outfit by far. Plus Ratatouille is hardly a good film choice for Strictly.

Tabby got my other vote as she is just joyful to watch.

They only brought in that change in casting vote judge thing last year

Oh yeah I just googled it, it feels like much longer

Hardly radical is it..

C8H10N4O2 · 03/10/2026 21:21

I've been watching on catch up and skipping most of the VTs but thought Cach was incredible, Graeme much better than expected, felt sorry for Melanie, Dani did nothing for me, liked Tabby and think Bethany will continue to improve but I hated the song.

I thought JoJo was improved - wardrobe nonsense aside the cueing problems seemed to be resolved and I liked the way he talked about the dancing techniques/stage of the contest with the insight of a competitor. He seems actually interested in the dancers rather than using them as a vehicle for scripted witicisms.

Emma is wasted. They have one of the most experienced live TV presenters currently in TV and she is trying to present with a ball and chain tied to her. Those scripted comedy ad libs are terrible - Emma sounds more natural reading the jokes than the actual comedian. Josh is just an annoying spare part in this role and iritated me even more than last week. I'd ditch Josh, let Emma do her thing and give JoJo a little more time to develop an JoJotorium.

The Clauditorium only appeared with Claudia, they could help JoJo create his own thing upstairs rather than making him Claudia Mark 2

Minimammoth · 03/10/2026 21:23

( hushed whisper) I think Emma is better than Tess.
Jo Jo and the whole gallery thing is godawful.
