Play for today is back for s2 after the success of s1

Love these!
The second one was really awful. Trapped by herself.
Special Measures was good but I think the second storyline was unnecessary. The carnage of the school was enough.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/09/2026 21:21

I vaguely rem s1

school ofsted- lottery - bloody body on door and can’t rem the 4th one

Wild is just awful. The actors are normally good, but the script is boring and clunky and I am not invested in them at all. Too annoying.

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2026 21:37

I really liked the ones during season one as well.
I used to love the plays on the radio , but haven’t listened to one in many years!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/09/2026 22:46

I liked it till the end - felt it wasn’t a proper ending

I enjoyed it. But I agree about the end. I don’t like endings that aren’t endings.

Agree . They are good actors , but this one , terrible .
I guess you are only as good as the script .
Said to my husband the actors must be broke !

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/09/2026 13:47

guess money is money

I suppose it’s fairly cheap tv to make with these plays. Not many characters in them and filmed in one place ( usually )
Maybe the next ones may be more my cup of tea.

It was pretty shit wasn't it

butterpuffed · 26/09/2026 17:11

You're right, it was absolutely shit..

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/09/2026 20:34

It was just the ending that was crap

did they really think they would find the GPS

OP posts:
Mydogisagentleman · 28/09/2026 18:57

I thought that one would die or Lou would reveal that he was end of life.
The ending was dire

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2026 20:45

Yes I did think maybe only 2 would come back

OP posts:
TheBers · 29/09/2026 21:15

Sorry just found series 2.

Yes Wild was bad. Mostly because it’s just an outdated troupe. 3 uni blokes “ going down” together. Apparently better fun than relocating wuth your girlfriend, living with asthma or being as average bloke.
As soon as he couldn’t dispatch the rabbit I knew how it was going to end.
