It drives me mad too. How much can one actor take, poor Max. He is the number one enemy, Cindy is carrying on ridiculously.
I remember watching an interview where Ronnie (Samantha) said the hectic roles have a big impact.
For once EE should have just left it for the tragedy it is.

You could almost hear Priya thinking well nobody has said anything about the baby being white I might just get away with it. Suki has to comment on that at some point.

I agree with all of you about it being too overwrought.

The drama for Penny should have been the challenges of being a disabled mother, we don't need the Harry Vinny nonsense.

I can see why Zoe dying wasn't enough drama because - who cares about Zoe? Not the viewers or the producer. But loading yet more pointless drama onto Max and having Kat yelling in Jack's ear is just annoying.

Speaking of pointless drama, see also Ian in jail with a potential murder charge hanging over him, which we know doesn't happen but in the meantime none of his family is bothered.

And Max is a bit hypocritical telling Oscar who he can and can't shag.

That's what I've been thinking!

Agree @Shellingbynight it's too much pointless drama. Just let Kat grieve over her daughter.

Kat was brilliant tonight.. Penny’s baby is enormous and never cries and no one has noticed that he’s white!

It doesn't even make any sense that Max is carrying on like that. It makes no difference whether Oscar shags him or not. There wasn't much about last night's episode which DID make sense.

Yeah it’s all just too much isn’t it. And same old shite. Someone accused of something they didn’t do and instead of just explaining what happened they have to hide it and make it all worse! I’m tempted to stop watching again and just come back for NYD

I know that the old mumsnet saying 'are you on glue' is generally frowned upon, but sometimes it is the only possibly explanation for the writers.

Next week Cindy finds Priya’s paternity test (what sort of ridiculous plotting is this) and orders her to leave Walford. And there’s more Amy and Craig, and Ash is back. I think I’ll be doing a lot of fast forwarding!

I’m catching up with the last two episodes, it’s been a long time since Eastenders made me laugh out loud. But Vinnie, “my hands are shrinking, I can’t hold a child,” had me howling!

Caught up this week.

The scene where Kat watches the ambulance take Zoe away was heartbreaking , so final.

Though when they were all in the lounge and Kat was standing there in the doorway , none of them said "What's up Kat " They just bickered and laughed amongst themselves while she tried to deal with the enormity .

Really don't like the Hawkins . Ned is trying to squeeze himself into situations especially with Alfie so no doubt we'll find their back story .

What a stupid story with the Hookey Gummies . At least Ria didn't eat them , but if you were at a party - your own party- why would you guzzle a load of random sweets .
Suki definitely has suspicions about GiantBabyEthan.

It wouldn't be unusual for GiantBabyEthan to be very pale skinned at birth even with Vinny for a dad. I didn't think Suki looked suspicious but I didn't watch to the end. At the naming ceremony she was surprisingly cheerful!

I suspect Vinny is the dad because surely they wouldn't repeat the same storyline as we've already got Wrong Dad Ravi. Although judging by the current storylining, who knows.

Oh, I had a post hidden on tne other thread too. I mentioned Vinny and the drugs. Didn’t realize certain words were banned ( it wasn’t bad !)

Max is normally one to ‘ tell it like it is’ . If it was me I’d have told Kat what happened and just that I thought she was drunk and not making any sense.
However, it would then come out he was with Linda as they would ask why he followed her upstairs and so on ( and on) so by covering that up , his in a deeper hole. Oh dear

@Shellingbynight good call perhaps suspicion is raised and they do a DNA and Vinny is confirmed dad. I do think Nicola will click though.

I surprised myself by thinking that Vinnie was actually really watchable this week! He managed to pull off the stoned acting pretty well.

Yes, I think he's under utilised. He can be pretty good when called on.

WHY is Priya carrying around the paternity letter in her handbag ffs?? And periodically taking it out to just stare at it, as if that will change the results.

So Cindy is going to blackmail Priya and Priya is going to blackmail Penny. Ok.

If Giant Baby Ethan (GBE)’s skin doesn’t darken then I suppose Suki will be suspicious but she did say he has Vinny’s nose so I think the twist is that he is indeed the dad. Which again raises the question…why is a depressed Jack looking after him on NYD.

I think the dreaded twins have improved a smidgen but I still want them both gone. Josh is a snake really and doesn’t give a shit about his sister, I wonder if the fan rumours that he is the evil twin are true.
