Nic did well, Ned was clearly gunning for a reaction, and she didn't give him one.

So Lee has left Jess rather than the other way around? Odd.

Yes it's the EE equivalent of a cop in a film, who retires tomorrow, being called out on one last job. Never ends well.

I did wonder today if the writers are trying to turn Ned into the new Dirty Den ( albeit a poundworld one)
I’m glad that Nicola didn’t react to the medal, but I bet it gets smashed up at some point.

You can almost hear the bells of doom in the background whenever someone says either of those things. (Also 'I've never been so happy')

I can’t see Linda and Max lasting the distance. Too many skeletons there and nobody on their side.
Ash has a bit of a drinking problem it seems. She needs to find her own place to live.
I suppose Kathy will find out Harvey gave Lily the train fare money and go mad. Probably a bad move , but he is a good person deep down , just misguided!
At least we have been spared Craig last few days. Ian back soon, but he is depressed to add to the misery.

He gave her far too much money, it's zone 2/3 to zone 3, no need to go through zone 1, substantially less than a tenner and he gave her a load of notes.

Well we know Linda is leaving and haven’t heard anything about Max so they probably do split. Linda will likely go off to live with Nancy and her grandchild - what other reason could there be for Nancy coming back and being pregnant?

Harvey also seemed to take it out of the chippy takings too I think ! Maybe he’ll put it back , but might forget to.
Why is Kathy hiring Jean to clean the house ( even though she didn’t turn up )
Must be loads of local cleaning companies around that area. Plus they loath each other.
Sharon needs a proper story. Sad she is reduced to cleaning duties.

@Southeastdweller the problem is, none of the storylines really make sense so it is hard to predict what will happen! I find it very hard to believe Linda would be marrying Max on NYD for a start, and if it isn't her - who?

Nancy can't be hanging around long because Maddy Hill was photographed heavily pregnant herself when filming 6 weeks ago.

Nope, the storylines do not make any sense at all and it’s such a mix at the moment as well.
If the new family has come in and bought Suki’s house that may have made a bit of sense , but instead they are all crammed in that house together and we don’t know what Jodie and Ryder do for money either.

They've known Kellie Bright was leaving for ages, so no need to rush a silly storyline. She deserves better.

I think the Max/Linda romance is unbelievable from the perspective of Linda. She knows what Max is, she knows he treats women like crap. She's just watched him get engaged to a woman he's known less than a year and marry her while shagging someone else behind her back. Then dumping new wife as soon as as they're married. Any rational woman would go no not getting involved with that.

I can't really recall the NYE episode, but could the pregnant woman be Nancy? I guess it's a bit of a stretch as she might be further on than that.

With Linda it’s because he is Annie’s dad and she wants to completely move on from Mick. She wants the happy family and to be wanted. Max is a terrible choice

I can’t see Nancy going anywhere near Max to be honest.

Nancy looks 8 months pregnant, she certainly hasn't got another three months in her!

I agree 80s Linda wants a new happy family, as if Max will ever supply that!

Yeah I agree, she will have him sussed, but this is EE.

Honestly we might not even be getting the NYD flash forward episode answers. I wouldn’t be surprised if NYD Max just woke up and it was all a dream and they moved on to the next weird storyline.

I want to know who hates Max enough to be able to kidnap Oscar and Lauren! My money is on Cindy.

I didn't hate today's episode as much as the last few. There was some good writing for the Carters despite the ropey plot.

And I liked Nicola’s struggle with the framed medal followed by her ‘I love it!’ That is the way to throw Ned off plan.

All the Kathy-Harvey nonsense is annoying. Why would you pay for a pretend inspection, especially on the day Ian is returning. No one would do that. And now she's going to get narky with Harvey for stuffing it up.

Rumours online that Ryder is gay.

Kathy really isnt treating Harvey very well imho. A bit like a skivvy! Why didn't Kathy go to the shops and get some food in instead of expecting Harvey to do it, along with all the other things she'd already asked him to do? Ian is her son after all.

And why is Sharon walking around like a spare part with nothing to do ffs?!?

Nancy and Linda are typical mother and daughter imho. Both as bad as each other! Although I was with Linda more tonight. But seriously: what is Lee up to?

I suppose that Harvey will grow tired of being bossed around and go back to Jean!

It’s not a rumour - Ryder confides in Nicola about a man he’s seeing, which is probably is a plot device for Nic and Ned to start a feud.
