She was just a difficult teen as I recall. But she did put the dvd on at Xmas that outed Max and Stacey, so she had strong opinions about cheating then.

It just turns out that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, despite that speech she gave to Max a while ago about how she was nothing like him when he said she was. He was right.

Cindy was an exciting character in the past.
Ah, poor Peter deserves better, she should leave him. I doubt lover boy would be interested in the mundane parts of family life.

Peter is Ian, and Lucy was Cindy.

Lauren has always been a nightmare. She had a drink problem as a teen, on and off with Pet ahh, affair with Josh from Wayland , outed her dad with the film of him and Stacey , now mark and the dodgy cars. She has never been the most stable of people..
Cindy was always frivolous years ago too. She was the hat seller on the stall in the beginning!

I hope that Pet ahh leaves Lauren eventually and takes the kids. I still think that it was Louie behind the door the other day , but might have been Ravi.

Are you asking about Cindy being frivolous? She has certainly had a chequered past. She married Ian very young when she was pregnant but failed to tell him the father was actually his half brother Wicksy (Simon). Later on she had an affair with his other half brother David. She then hired a hit man to kill Ian, kidnapped two of their three children and fled abroad. That’s just a few highlights lol. She has always been a selfish narcissist. Ian had a blind spot where she was concerned for years and now he can see straight through Lauren because she is an almost carbon copy of Cindy.

Me too. History repeating itself. Louie is a very mature little boy, you won’t fool him.

Lauren doesn't seem to have much of a relationship with either of her kids, it always seems to be Peter dealing with them. Or someonelse who isn't Lauren!

She is definitely the female version of her Dad. Lauren comes first, the family is collateral damage.

When she was complaining to Peter about how boring their lives are you could definetly see how alike Lauren and Max are. She just wants a life full of thrills and is not suited to domestically, kids and a dull market trader. I mean most women wouldn't find life with Peter exactly exhiliarting but would put their family first. She's very short sighted. The attraction to Mark will wear off eventually once the excitement of all the secret hook ups wears thin and she'll be onto the next thing I guess.

It's exactly the same with Max. He pursues someone and then gets bored once he has them. He already seems fed up with Linda at times.

Eastie, plus Mark would soon be off if Lauren did leave Pet ahh and the boys! He isn’t one for a life of kids and lost homework and the drudge of it all.
I hope that the Amy / Craig story is over soon. It is sickening what he is doing :(

Absolutely right, he doesn't even really want a relationship with Lauren, just secret shagging.

I may have to start fast forwarding the Amy story and I just hope it finishes soon.

Oh yes Mark made it very clear didn't he, when told her he does not want her to leave Pe-tah. He definetly does not want to be saddled with those boys and can probably see long term with screechy Lauren would just be hard work.

There's something shifty about Darnell. I don't get why they're drawing out this story. He's a match he's not a match he can't do it he can do it.

I mentioned upthread that I fast forward all their scenes. It makes me really uncomfortable and I can usually deal with EE's grim storylines. I caught the end of one of their conversations when he invited her over for dinner and wine. Urghh. Jack and Jack is such a shit parent. All of this happening under his nose. Detecive my arse.

I fastforward Craig and Amy too.

I also fastforward Jodie and Ryder.

Lauren is screechy isn’t she! Very attractive, but a dubious personality and a bit yappy.
Jack has never been a good detective. I didn’t recognize Callum at first. Haven’t seen him for ages!

It’s grim, I didn’t like it either. Thought its an interesting touch he has such greasy slimy hair

I don’t think he’s bad, just socially inept but unfortunately they’re portraying him a bit like Sonia’s Rees (don’t know spelling).
I feel like they’re building him and his daughter up to be longer term characters.
wish they’d do more slow introductions like this instead of ridiculous wallopers like nichola’s family all in at once with their over acting.

So , Ned’s business partner does exist then. I was surprised that Phil didn’t ask for money for the information. His getting soft in his old age! ( unless he did and it wasn’t shown today)

The spoilers for tomorrow and Thurs say something about Nicola deciding she has to accept Ned's offer of money for the bar. How convenient that she has to pay a huge bill by Friday and suddenly Ned is minted!

I agree the grooming story is uncomfortable viewing and believable - these scumbags easily target vulnerable girls and women because they know they can. Jack will surely find out which. It was speculated before here that this will result in a stalemate situation because Craig will blackmail him, but now that looks unlikely as Craig is now out of a job so has nothing to lose by threatening Jack.
