Iced Gems never had a shortbread base!

Were they more of a Marietta-type base? I think they were horrible.

I always use egg white powder so I'd struggle with how much egg white. Wouldn't be able to reel off the ratio for shortbread either, I wonder if they'd revised it.

There's always one contestant who makes me feel mildly homicidal every time they open their mouth and Danni is it this year. Can she dial it down a bit? I'm aware overly dramatic people are catnip to the producers but I'm guiltily crossing my fingers for an early exit.

I've unfortunately come to the conclusion that I don't like either of them. I have really tried but I can't cope with Danni's excitableness (probably not a word, according to autocorrect!) I've liked Nigella previously but she just seems weirdly unnatural here. Maybe she's still settling in?

I've never watched any of Nigella's programmes so had no view of her either way. But she and Paul were on the One Show this evening and I found her really irritating - I thought she was never going to stop talking, Paul barely got a word in, and like you say, there's something weirdly unnatural about her. Her speech is quite slurrey.
