Hate this 9pm thing. Gone to bed and watched on my phone again. Tomorrow and Friday night DH is watching rugby (yes, we're a poor 1 television household) so phone again.

Was unimpressed Jay couldn't get the base off his cheesecake, but I remember a professional MC opening challenge to make fruit tarts.
Both chefs turned the little flan dishes upside down to turn them out, rather than sitting then on a tin of tomatoes (or whatever) to slide the ring down.

I’m sorry but shortcrust pastry is SO easy, literally 3/4 ingredients. The only time I’ve failed was during the heatwave when the butter melted too quickly. I’m sorry Jay but it was the right decision..

I was sorry to see Jay go, although understood why. Really wanted to Jason to go as he's so fucking irritating. And not really a good cook.

I like Shakira, but I think she really knows more/has more experience than she's letting on.

The episode reminds me of the time we went to a local pub. I mean , pubs and pies : natural partners, right?

DH ordered the pie and broke his fork trying to cut into it... yum.

Shakira's pie was weird and didn't look very moist at all. The fact Giorgio could turn an untopped pie upside down to turn it out speaks volumes.

Does anyone know how the food doesn't go cold for the tasting? I was thinking about Jason's pancakes. Maybe they were meant to be cold.
