Can anyone tell me who owns the laundrette? I remember back in the days when Dot was still around, she always used to say it was Mr Opodopolis (sp).

But who owns it now? Especially since Vinny had a phone stall in the front and the cab office operates out the back. Does Harvey still drive a cab?

Kat used the back room to operate Kat's Kabs at one point, I think Moneybags Phil bought it for her when they were married.
Then didn't Ian and/or Kathy buy it?

There's hardly any pets on Eastenders and those that have been didn't have a happy ending did they ?

What if…

Denise is really unwell NYD. She asks Max to help her die because she can’t take it anymore. That’s why Max is arrested for conspiracy to murder - because assisted suicide isn’t legal here. That’s why Jack is devastated and arguing with Denise, and the “kiss, marry, kill” comment Jack makes about Max. Someone knows about it and tells the police. Maybe Kim - we didn’t see her in the flash forward.

If this isn’t the storyline, it should be.

A laundrette with a cab office in the back is a really bad business model for an east London square. Most people have washing machines. Everyone uses Uber.

Max can't be responsible for Zoe dying then? If her death was planned after the flash forward?

And Chelsea and Nicola are in dispute because they had a heated argument about Assisted Dying and it raised all sorts of ugly truths about Eddie .
Maybe Eddies death being investigated ?

I'm not sure how much acting work MR wants. She hasn't done very much lately, and mainly minor roles, and she was asking for time off within months of returning to Walford! She didn't exactly showcase her talents did she.

You will always get comments about your looks if you are an actor, whether it's your weight or your botox or your hair (or lack of it).

Speaking of hair, they have said Shaz has now returned 'permanently' so hopefully Letitita won't need to leave again. She is one character I do miss.

My last reply was in response to something 80s said - I hadn’t read the subsequent posts so it looks odd stuck there!

Anyway 'kiss marry kill'. I assume Jack said kiss because he can’t say shag at 7.30 in the evening. So it’s Priya, The Bride (prob Cindy) and whoever he’s arrested for conspiracy to kill. It would ‘fit’ if it was Zoe as of course he’d had a relationship with her too (now completely ignored). I t wouldn’t fit with the timeline although that may not matter since it seems to be a non event and he has been released. It's more likely to be something to do with Mark and the car lot though.

Wadey tends to be quite guessable to say the least, so I don’t think we’ll get much of a surprise on NYD.

Some of these soap actors who have unreasonable demands don’t know how lucky they are. Often their careers and finances never recover after they’ve been axed.

Daft ending today with Ian crying about potentially going to jail because he’s decided to plead guilty. From what his lawyer was saying earlier in the episode, pleading not guilty would still likely mean a custodial sentence.

I agree South, whatever happens gets known in the industry.

There is (yet again!) no tension with Ian and his crying because we known he's free and positively smug on NYD. He does not look like a man traumatised by jail.

I do sympathise with Michelle Ryan though , she was at the peak of Eastenders Fame with you can't tell me what to do...you ain't my mother , then the Dennis/Dirty Den triangle (sordid but this is soap). She went off to the USA to do The Bioinic Woman remake but after 8 or so episodes there was a writers strike and it all went pfft .
She was in Doctor Who with David Tennant and would've made a good companian . It worked well for Billy Piper and Karen Gillan .

I was just a bit annoyed last night online ( not on mumsnet ) with people commenting about Zoe’s weight. I did wonder if these anonymous people were all models themselves! I know that people in the public eye , actors and so on are going to be judged a lot and it goes with the territory , but it just felt a bit personal.
Anyway, not seen it today , but sounds as if Ian is worried about prison maybe ?

In the Digital Spy Spoilers, Ian is having Faaaaamily Barbeque -don't know where because he does have a small yard but you wouldn't fit the whole Beale Clan in there . It wouldn't be allowed to use the gardens in the Square .
Though as a Counciller he can probably get round everything .

Hot charcoals , alcohol, small children running about , risk of undercooked sausages ( though Ian is a trained chef so shouldn't be a problem ) what can possibly go wrong ?, Lauren and Mark can look broodily at each other over a chicken drumstick ( and Mark is Faaamily as he's 'Chelles son who is Ians cousin.

THe whole of bleedin' Walford could be Ian's Family

Do you know what is making me so cross about this Ian thing, he keeps saying “she shouted at her kid” as if it’s illegal to shout at your kids lol and no one’s told him to shut the f up 🤣

Ian should come on MN, he'd be handed his arse on a Kaff's Kafe tea tray and be told you can't judge Chels on that snippet of interaction. It's only a 5 seconds of her day, you don't know what she's had to put up with prior...

That reminds me, what happened to JackandJack's hot tub in his back garden?
Surely in the 3 heatwaves we've had, the whole neighbourhood and their Nan would all be piling in!

If he lived next to a MNer , the HotTub Sex Pond would've been punctured and/or a whole bottle of Fairy Liquid (other washing up liquids are available) would be poured in to block the filter and give it the authentic "Ibiza Foam Party Experience"
Or just cut the plug off .
