It was never confirmed why James Bye (Martin) left EE. I suspect he was written out because Chris Clenshaw wanted high ratings and Martin was always a bit expendable. I said at the time it’s unlikely a dad of four small children would voluntarily leave a well paid job. He’s been touring in shows since he left.

I definitely read somewhere that it was his decision.. something about him wanting to be able to do more career-wise. I can’t remember where though.

Martin is an odd one. I am sure it was originally presented as James was shocked and upset and didn't want to leave. But then subsequently it switched to he wanted to have a few years off but didn't want to be killed off. I agree South I would be very surprised if it was his choice.

I'm glad to hear Zoe is going. The whole Antnee and the Twins storyline was so badly written and MR's acting has been toe-curlingly terrible. I'm disappointed at the way they're doing it though - why have yet another young-ish person die before their time? Poor Kat.

Agree Zoe won't be missed but I they could find a logical reason to send her away again. I know this sounds bad but I can't be doing with the grief acting when a main character dies. They had Stacey going around in a black hoodie for what seemed like years. Now the Pub will have to be shut and Jasmine and Jazz hands will have to attempt to show complicated sadness.

I think Oscar and Jasmine will get back together (part of the family) as she is much better than Jazz hands.

I don’t think Kat and Alfie have the pub come NYD .. I don’t know why but it’s been one of my suspicions since the flash forward. I don’t have a clue who will buy it as they only did because Stacey gave them the magic £100,000 Martin left for her and the kids.. which she’s not benefiting from whatsoever as there’s drinks on the house left right and centre.

Ooh. Shaz is selling the gym. She'd have the money. I'd like her back in the Vic, her brother already works there as the chef, she could haul Vicki in too. Den's daughter behind the bar - that is the kind of thing Wadey likes.

I agree I am not looking forward to Twin Sadness. But Jasmine has killed two dads, why not a mother too. That would get shot of both of them in one go. I can't see any point in either of the twins hanging around, although I would rather it is Josh as I can't stand Jasmine.

Zoe dying, will it be an accident or murder?🤔I don't want to see another death either.
Is she leaving this year do we know?

I’d love to see Sharon back in the Vic, with Zac. Would be lush. I don’t like Vicki though lol and I don’t want Zac and Vicki to be a thing again 😅 imagine living with your siblings that have sex with each other 🤢

However, I don’t think it’ll be Sharon as her reasoning for wanting to sell the gym is to be able to come and go easily, and if LD has things going on in real life it wouldn’t make sense.

Yes, she finished filming last month so her last scenes will air in August.

Michelle Ryan originally went off to Hollywood to be Supergirl or something like that. That must’ve worked for a while but then her Hollywood dream seems to have failed and EE was a natural progression. It’s a pity she’s so bad though or wants time off as the character itself isn’t terrible.

I wonder why she wanted the time off? I know you can't tell just by looking at someone, but I do wonder if she may have a health problem such as a thyroid related thing. I only say that because I had a friend who put on weight the same way MR has - just on the body and mainly lower half and not on the face at all. And I think my friend may have had thyroid issues 🤔

Oh , it’s been filmed already then. I wonder how Zoe will die ? Far too gloomy isn’t it for the twins and Kat too. After all that effort getting her back too.

It may be murder - the new cop character is working on a case.

No, Jasmine is being set up to run the stall isn’t she. I think she’ll stay on personally.

If Jasmine kills Zoe and goes to prison (forever) it'll work out fine . She has shown many times she has a temper and is not to be trusted .
Josh can take over the stall (any bloody stall) Penny will be channeling her efforts elsewhere , either in her new shop , her new baby , having to deal with The Wrath of Suki if the baby isn't Vinny's , and the wrath of Gina if the baby is Harry's .
Josh's career in hair styling has kind of stalled now as the salon is never staffed , now Denice is in hospital , Kim is never at work either .

Josh- stall (could take over Penny's clothes stall)
Penny- heaven knows .
Oscar- mart Josh

She’s already killed her biological father and may have been involved with the death of Sandra’s husband so could killing the woman who gave her up for adoption be her next victim? I hope so.

Or maybe the twist will be that MySon is her murderer.
Then the Killer Twins will have to go on the run, and get conveniently mown down by Ian!
