Mine is The Big Bang theory, I first watched it a couple of years ago and just love it. It’s funny, Iove all the characters and the relationships they all have with each other, and that there is someone for everyone.

Lots of favourite episodes, I love the one when Sheldon and Amy get married, especially the bit when Stuart knows all the answers to the Star Wars questions and the look on his face when Denise says ‘you are so hot’.

I also love the opening night excitation when Sheldon and Amy have coitus and Leonard, Raj and Howard are watching the Star Wars movie with Will Wheaton (live long and suck it). DH likes the parking spot one the best.

Friends - it’s just so comforting (apart from the episodes with that blooming monkey Marcel!)

OnlyHasEyesForLoki · 05/06/2026 11:27

And Schitts Creek - it’s genius!

In terms of films I regularly rewatch Arrival and Contact - love Amy Adam’s and Jodie Foster in those films so much!

Detectorists for me.

When DD was younger and DH and I used to watch tv in the evenings when she had gone to bed we would watch MASH or Frasier. I can still do Frasier when I remember.

kerstina · 05/06/2026 12:10

I am going to give Schitts creek a go as I think it’s on BBC from tomorrow. Got to be good if there is so many seasons right?

lilachighlighter · 05/06/2026 12:37

Detectorists for me too.

Sopranos
six Feet Under

watch both once a year

VimesandhisCardboardBoots · 05/06/2026 12:40

Firefly gets a watch once a year, usually started when I'm lying on the sofa ill feeling sorry for myself.

Buffy / Angel and Battlestar Galactica all get an airing every few years or so. Most recent rewatch of each was introducing DD to them, was great to see them through fresh eyes.

Outside of sci-fi, Coupling, Scrubs and How I met your mother get fairly frequent airings

BorisJohnsonsUnderpants · 05/06/2026 12:47

The 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. I watch it in full about three times a year.

I have Vicar of Dibley box set but need to buy a new CD/DVD player as ours keeps refusing to give the CD/DVD back😂

Going to add Small Prophets and Good Omens for a rewatch soon
Would love to watch Babylon 5 again if anyone knows where I can access it for free

Edit to add I may watch 1883 again, but it was very sad

Yes to Inside No9
I can select an episode depending on what mood I'm in, some I'm meh about but all worth several re watches.

I was bereft when they came to the end of series 9 and "Plodding On" (double d) wrapped it up .They did the Stage Fright tour ( I saw it twice Grin but I keep looking out for what they're doing next

We went to see Stage Fright too (just the once) but were lucky enough to see them after the show when they were signing programmes. Bonus!

I felt the same when the series ended. Loved Plodding On. Like you I select different episodes for a rewatch depending on mood.

I’m addicted to the Royle Family. I could watch it forever. I know pretty much every line! I have no idea what it is that I even like about it. Jim is so grim and hilarious at the same time. It’s just working class family life that a lot of people can identify with. I hanker after that time going late 90s. The smoking 😮.

My Brilliant Friend. The best television adaptation of a book series there had ever been.

Yes.

It’s just criminal that so few people appear to have watched it.

It’s very rare that an adaptation brings me even more than the written text. There are some human emotions I have never, ever seen portrayed with such power and conviction. And characters towards whom I feel so much real life fury, they wouldn’t be safe if I found myself in a room with them.
