Mine is The Big Bang theory, I first watched it a couple of years ago and just love it. It’s funny, Iove all the characters and the relationships they all have with each other, and that there is someone for everyone.

Lots of favourite episodes, I love the one when Sheldon and Amy get married, especially the bit when Stuart knows all the answers to the Star Wars questions and the look on his face when Denise says ‘you are so hot’.

I also love the opening night excitation when Sheldon and Amy have coitus and Leonard, Raj and Howard are watching the Star Wars movie with Will Wheaton (live long and suck it). DH likes the parking spot one the best.

The Royle Family. I watch it once a year without fail, and on really shitty days I watch one of the specials! I’ve also watched the last ep of Gavin and Stacey an embarrassing amount of times.

Breaking Bad - absolute masterpiece, you notice something new every time or identify with a different character every time.

Motherland

The OC

Yes to Breaking Bad, I've watched it many times.

Mine are Modern Family, The Durrells and Ghosts, all wonderful imho.

Lost
24
game of thrones
succession
father Ted

Lost? That would be a huge chore for me. It started off ok but became so obvious the writers didn’t have a clue and were lurching from one episode to the next.

For me Modern Family is always worth another watch. I dip in and out of episodes and watch excerpts on Youtube like ‘Cam being Dramatic for ten minutes’ type stuff. It can still make me laugh out loud.

@FaintlyMacabre I loved Cabin Pressure and have listened several times.

I had to go out and spend a fortune on The Big Bang Theory after it left Netflix then Disney+. We love it, can watch it over and over again. Have watched Lucifer twice and thinking about doing it again. The Vicar of Dibley never gets old, that's another box set i have. We also like Jonathan Creek. We watch JAG quite a bit. This was something my in-laws liked but I had never seen til i met them. I bought all 9 series as a wedding present for my husband.

I use Lost as the benchmark for giving up on new series, or not starting them in the first place if it looks like they’re going to wang on aimlessly for years. I did enjoy it to start with, but by the end thought it was a huge waste of my time.

Edited to add. I started watching From and thought uh-oh, this is starting to feel a bit like Lost so gave up on it.

Exactly how I felt. I should have dropped it the moment I started asking myself if the writers were clueless as to what was going on. They confessed after that they didn't have a clue what they were doing 🙄

Have watched BB 3 times and will probably watch again in a couple of years.

Love this thread 🥰

It used to be Friends when I was in my late teens/early 20's, would watch all the repeats on 4.

I was late to the party with the US Office but now I absolutely love it, have done several rewatches and listen to the Office Ladies podcast! The problem I have is I find it extremely soothing if I am feeling anxious, but overwatching too frequently dampens my enjoyment somewhat, so I have to be careful!

Also Fraisier is very nostalgic, I love catching it on.

I remember there being so much speculation online as to what was going on and I got involved with that myself. Which made me feel all the more cheated when it became apparent they were making it up as they went along!

Abracadabra12345 · 04/06/2026 19:35

Like others, Pride and Prejudice which we rewatched after The Other Bennett Sister and found it even more enthralling

Call the Midwife (when it was a gritty not twee TV series)

Das Boot

I don’t now but for years I watched and rewatched Star Trek:TNG

What’s JAG?

Judge Advocate General. It's a courtroom drama but based around naval law. The main character used to be a pilot but when he couldn't fly anymore he trained as a navy lawyer. I would definitely give it a go if you have amazon prime.
