If only Charity had stood up to Todd and called her bluff when she was sober as she caved right away.

Judging by this thread I'm glad I chose not to watch tonight. Definitely not my idea of Sunday night entertainment.

I've just watched it. Was really hard to watch. Why does it have to be used as entertainment and I don't buy the raising awareness crap.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying it’s sick and unnecessary and shouldn’t be aired. But I suppose soaps are a reflection of real life and sadly this sort of thing does happen. It was appropriately shot given that we don’t see anything but it’s clear what she was doing. Very dark and unsettling, it’s added another very sinister layer to Todd’s character who initially just came across as a bit of a dragon but is obviously very dangerous and much worse than initially thought. Not light viewing by any means but they deal with sexual abuse and other harrowing topics in all of the soaps.

Fair enough they want to raise awareness and this stuff does happen but we've just had modern slavery and prostate cancer, now same sex SA. All in a tiny village.

Please just give us a break from the endless misery.

There's raising awareness and there's going too far at a time when young children may still be watching with parents. I believe the watershed cut off in television land is 9pm but these days the rules just seem out of the window.

I don't shock easily but last night was horrible.

It would be interesting to see what is considered suitable viewing before the watershed because last night certainly wasn't.

Some people on Reddit said maybe Todd should have done this storyline with Vanessa and to explore SA in a same sex relationship instead of with Charity who has experienced ever such a lot

That was revolting and unnecessary. I don't buy raising awareness either, it just seems desperate.
