Here we are continuing to watch, chat about and admire Race Across The World 2026, Sicily to Mongolia. Everyone welcome!

I'm sorry I've had to start this probably a little early as I'm not watching live tonight (got home very late from work).

I’m so pleased Mark and Margo got to the end as well.

Yes, so am I

Romeiswheretheheartis · 21/05/2026 20:58

Margo started and ended in her red lippy!

Hardly seems fair. Either they all have their rucksacks or nobody does

But surely anybody has the choice to drop their rucksacks if they want? I've certainly seen people do it in previous series.

They’re allowed to ditch them. Most do. It wouldn’t have made a difference anyway. The boys were 3 hours ahead of Andrew and Molly.

CrushingOnRubies · 21/05/2026 20:59

I want to see the journey home. Can imagine the trip from the local airport to Ulaanbatar international must be an experience. Then can you fly direct from Mongolia to Heathrow?

Contestants have done this on previous shows when they get near the finish.

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/05/2026 21:02

Well done the lads but I would've been happy for any of them. I'm glad Mark and Margo got there.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/05/2026 21:03

Oh its the reunion now

unRunT · 21/05/2026 21:06

Mark & Margo must have had help to get to the end as they just didn’t have enough money based on the distance left to cover and the cost of the other taxi legs. But was glad to see them finish.

I thought they had 1% of the budget left, but they could well have had help finding a free lift. They didn’t seem to get as much free stuff generally as some of the other couples.

CrushingOnRubies · 21/05/2026 21:18

mark & Margo did have 1% left. But whether that means they had about £40’ left and then got stranded in the middle of nowhere and the crew had to bail them out or they actually made it on their own steam

CrushingOnRubies · 21/05/2026 21:25

Transporting the crew through Mongolia sticking close to the team they are assigned to must have been quite the task in itself.

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/05/2026 21:30

And where did they sleep with only those yurts and other homestays?

Twirlywirly25 · 21/05/2026 21:30

Still not finished the episode yet. But how far does Kush think £10,000 will go!

Romeiswheretheheartis · 21/05/2026 21:34

Molly described it well, 'it was like being on the moon'!

CaptainBeefheartspal · 21/05/2026 21:52

Joe seems very quiet.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 21/05/2026 22:00

That was so heartwarming, seeing how it all came together and how much they all loved it.

StillCreatingAName · 21/05/2026 22:08

As ever, I don’t want it to end, it’s such a wonderful way of seeing the world as a viewer. Each team brings something to the programme and I love that there’s no phones or egos. Ended up crying too, it gets me every end of the race.

I thought the same.

showmethegin · 21/05/2026 22:15

I’m so chuffed for the boys, as much as I absolutely loved all the couples this year. As a mother to two DS I found it really heartwarming how open they were about their emotions, warm and open minded to all sorts of different kinds of people. Brilliant.

showmethegin · 21/05/2026 22:16

This series has been head and shoulders my favourite. The contestants, culture and breadth of landscapes and experiences. Epic. Gutted it’s over!

Whataflippincircus · 21/05/2026 22:25

I loved each couple but I’m thrilled the boys won. 🩷

awaynboilyurheid · 21/05/2026 22:36

So glad the boys won! Thought they were lovely young men, they have had tough lives but great friendship got them through
Would have been happy with Harrison and sister to win, really liked them and they had tough lives for young people too. Harrison has a droll sense of humour he’s very funny and Katie is just a lovely happy girl.

I liked them all though but think molly and Daddy be fine thought the editing went on too much about their relationship most Dads want to take charge at times , they are both teachers no idea why a geography teacher hasn’t travelled before but hey no maybe stuck in his ways.

Loved Margo she’s a people person and she brought out the best in Mark he looked uptight at the beginning, and so lovely they became friends they honoured her sisters wishes and they both looked at peace with losing her at the end. Lovely they shouted her name at the end had a wee tear when Margo said she’s laughing!
Great series!

Aslockton · 21/05/2026 22:41

I just hope a car dropped Mark and Margo at the checkpoint and they were not made to clamber up a snowy hill and stumble in the snow through the woods. That would be valuable vodka time for Margo wasted!

WonderfulSmith · 21/05/2026 22:41

So glad the two lads won, but I would have been happy for any team to win, they were all lovely.
So interesting in the Reunion show to see how they film it. It’s a huge production, especially having a team in London getting constant updates.
