So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

and continuing the soap cliche of putting stuff out on the pavement in binbags, if he was really angry he would have chucked it out the bedroom window

YesI think Leanne did that with Megan's stuff the other week?

Have any of you ever seen the upstairs of the Rovers? When I watched it decades ago they only ever showed that one room. It’s never really changed much. Where do they prepare the food ? Do you ever see the bedrooms ?

We saw upstairs on Classic not long ago, when Shelley was holed up in the bedroom when Charlie was emotionally abusing her. That would have been about 2005.

And I am pretty sure when Jack and Vera (briefly) owned the Rovers in the 90s we saw them in the bedroom.

They do sometimes show the refurbed kitchen now.

Harriet Bibby is 28?! She looks so much younger. How old is Summer supposed to be?

Was some of the conversation between Roy and Sam in the Bistro imagined as well as on the bench? I thought it was just the conversation on the bench

Summer is meant to be 21 I think. Also shocked she is 28! Could pass for 17-19.

She has the Sarah Platt 'looks weirdly young for her age' thing going on! 😆

That realy annoys me in soaps/dramas on TV,😆 how people get their stuff chucked out in black binbags, when their partner is throwing them out! It's just happened in Classic Corrie where Michelle Connor has thrown Steve McDonald out of the pub - HIS pub LOL!

It's as predictable as the leaving in a taxi cliche!

The middle conversation in the bistro office (ie when Roy was actually back at his flat with the builders) and the scene on the bench were hallucinations. There were some very subtle changes in David Neilson’s perfomance which I thought were fab; his body movement, his stance, slight change in voice, facial expressions. He’s an excellent actor.

He really is!

Shellingbynight · 16/05/2026 15:03

I've just googled Harriet Bibby and I think it is probably her choice for Summer to 'go abroad' for a while, as she has just done a stage play. She's done quite a bit of stage work in the past, I think that may have been why Summer went to America last time.

Summer is 22 now though, she must be doing post-grad in whatever it is she is studying (I have no idea).

Willjac123 · 16/05/2026 15:20

Im sure that , a while back, I read in some obscure place that Theos son was the one to murder him.
Anyone else? Or am I hallucinating!?

eggandonion · 16/05/2026 15:23

She had to repeat a year after cheating in an exam? Was that with the other head? And she did a summer in America and returned with a very tall boyfriend who drank water from a giant bottle.
I wonder how health insurance will work with the diabetes. The college will presumably pay but it would be expensive. They must really want Summer.

We speculated that on here but nothing verified! I think it was Miles but with Danielle covering for him, or potentially both of them in some way as otherwise why did Miles appear back for that one episode (unless just to show the scene with Carl winding Theo up I suppose?!!)

Shellingbynight · 16/05/2026 16:38

@eggandonion oh yes of course, I remember the very tall boyfriend and his water bottle. She started uni late didn't she so she's probably in her final year now.

Seems unlikely

why would Danielle come back to talk to Todd?

if it had been her she would have kept away

Imgoingoutforawhile · 16/05/2026 17:55

I may have missed it but did we find out who let the car down onto Carl?

LesserSpottedCharacter · 16/05/2026 18:59

Is Carl still in hospital?

Imgoingoutforawhile · 16/05/2026 17:55

I had assumed it was Ronnie, despite watching every episode and posting on here I cannot keep up with it all.

the80sweregreat · 16/05/2026 19:44

Carls been forgetton about.

RockinCara · 16/05/2026 20:52

It just seems so unrealistic that Summer would leave Todd while all this was going on.

And no, we haven’t found out who let the jack down onto Carl. It could’ve just collapsed? And Ronnie just found him like that.

FloraDora2 · 16/05/2026 23:16

On a more frivolous note I thought Debbie's red 👄 lipstick looked awful.

Her style and outfits are usually amazing though!
🥳

I'm really looking forward to the revamped cafe, unless Roy has opted for a replica of the old one of course, with extra rail memorabilia.

Sam's troubles are just too extreme now, it's fast forward time for me.

Hopefully it will get a much needed deep clean

Shellingbynight · 17/05/2026 08:40

I agree Summer would not leave Todd at this point. And the academic year is more or less finished so she wouldn't be needed until the new year starts in September.

Debbie's makeup did look overdone. I wondered if it was to show she's less able to judge what looks good now. But probably not!

FloraDora2 · 17/05/2026 09:46

@Shellingbynight

Good point about Debbie and her (possible) choice of makeup etc during her dementia. It would be very sad to see this happening and I have personal experience of this in my own family with a sufferer going outside and not knowing they hadn't got dressed first 🫤.

Shellingbynight · 17/05/2026 10:23

@FloraDora2 yes same here, my mother had dementia.

Deadringer · 17/05/2026 10:50

If Debbie starts wearing clothes that don't match we probably wont notice, her style is so eclectic.

Kinfluencer · 17/05/2026 11:06

I think theres a new hairdresser /make up team

Both Debbie and Sallys hair now looks awful
Weird scraggly bobs that dont suit their thin hair, garish odd lipsticks

Shellingbynight · 17/05/2026 11:23

I think Sally looks much better with shorter hair, but the actress seems to have decided to grow it so I suppose hairdressing team have to do their best.

Same with Debbie, her short hair was her trademark, it was fab. I wonder if the actress decided to grow it as part of the storyline, so Debbie looks increasingly 'less Debbie'.

Shellingbynight · 18/05/2026 21:32

Oh I'm surprised, no comments yet on today's episode?

I loved the pub scenes with Ma. Good humour and classic camp old Corrie (the writer was Jonathan Harvey, no surprises there).

Unfortunately he then had to cycle through the murder plot points with Summer's journal. Summer would really not write what looked like the angry journal of a 14 year old, she is studying an English Literature degree. I pity the writers having to include this stuff.

Still, half of it was good which is a result these days!
