So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

The subtle differences between Roy and imaginary Roy are beautifully played by David Neilson.

Absolutely..and young actor Sam is doing very well with having to pretend he is with someone when he is not .

I watch them all and have no idea why Jodie is back.

Shona seems to have forgotten that her sister got into her bed wearing her nightclothes and sent texts to her husband on her phone

or maybe she just blames David for everything

I thought I was going a bit bonkers. I have been trying to figure out how and why Jodie is back with David and Shona. IIRC she had been booted out by them (and was staying with Daniel,) then Daniel realised she was a liar/the truthteller person. Then HE booted her out, then she just rocked up at David and Shona's, and seems to have got her feet under the table again. No invite, no sign of them having a talk with her and letting her come back, and (again) no luggage/suitcases.

The continuity in some of these episodes is annoying. I think the last few have been quite good but they are a bit flawed. Like others on here I am enjoying Imaginary Evil Roy. Poor Sam though. Sad I am also liking Hope, and enjoying her friendship with Will.

Also confused about Gary's reaction to Tyrone saying he saw Summer the night Theo died and was going to the police about it. Was he pleased or relieved or worried? Not sure! I wonder what the police will say? Is it not going to seem a bit odd? I'm no expert, and not a police detective, but I'd be like 'hmmmm, so you just remembered!' 🤔

I'm still not sure who killed Theo. Clearly Gary and Sarah are involved somehow.

No Corrie tonight. Football is on! It's back tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7.30pm.

Daniel might notice and redeem himself. Roy might notice which will confuse me. Toyah and Nick are too uppp themselves to notice. Hawp is busy analysing Will. Leanne is busy snogging Idris
Poor Sam.
I assume Lisa will believe Tyrone suddenly recalling seeing Summer and Theo.

She believes anything that people tell her

zanahoria · 09/06/2026 10:23

It is depressing how the crime obsession is taking over the show. Even when there were murders before most characters did not get involved, now they all seem wrapped up in Theo's murder or with the other panto villains and are committing crimes themselves in retaliation. We have had Tyrone bashing Carl in, Toyah assaulting Megan, Kit bashing Mal, Gary up to no good - on top of that we have innocent suspects like George and Summer.

the80sweregreat · 09/06/2026 10:38

Has Mal disappeared now ?

eggandonion · 09/06/2026 10:44

Hopefully Gary has quietly got rid of Mal. Or Mal has kidnapped Bernie.

They always film the school scenes in that same corridor don’t they.
Roy is very good at being sinister Roy. At first I wasn’t sure if it was true or not, but it soon became obvious that Sam is imagining these conversations and Roy is unaware of it all! It’s being done well, but poor Sam needs some help doesn’t he. He thinks it’s all true.

Sam has been walking around in a stupified daze for weeks, maybe months

The step mum sisters seem more concerned about duffing up Megan.

the80sweregreat · 09/06/2026 11:13

They do go ‘ you ok Sam ?’ occasionally!

It was Eva's turn yesterday when he was getting weird with the water bottle.

Sam has a lot of adult relatives around

Agree. Roy is my favourite character anyway 😁 I love the subtle differences, very, very clever acting (and writing/production I guess tbf)

the80sweregreat · 09/06/2026 11:35

Roy is a good actor.

eggandonion · 09/06/2026 12:32

There are a lot of actors who are good when allowed to be. Rubbish writing doesn't help.

zanahoria · 09/06/2026 13:01

He is always good but I have had enough with all the actual villains, don't need to be coping with imaginary ones

Clawdy · 09/06/2026 15:20

The actor playing Roy must be really enjoying playing such a different character!

FrankieMcGrath · 09/06/2026 17:44

Another loving Roy! I do wish they’d give all the great actors better storylines! More of them all generally & less Lisa, gangsters, newbies etc!

JellyBeanSpring25 · 09/06/2026 17:57

Not on tonight (Tues) or Thursday this week. Double episode Friday.

I think Sarah killed Theo. And Gary is covering for her.

1reason · 09/06/2026 20:34

So we are entering up to 5 weeks of schedule changes due to World Cup.
I have mentioned before that Corrie does not often reflect current events and now
wonder if the actual World Cup and games will be referenced on screen?
I noticed that the Rovers had England and Scotland flags displayed and the Platts had put up England flags in their home.
Adam Barlow will be cheering Scotland on in the Rovers!

the80sweregreat · 09/06/2026 20:42

They may have an inset conversation about the football, but generally soaps tend to ignore such events as it’s filmed so far in advance isn’t it. Unless England or Scotland win .. I bet they would mention it then!

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 10/06/2026 01:19

Theres no chance Sam wouldnt have been spotted talking to himself in the corridor at the local comp.
Ive never liked the character and the actor is unfortunately a nepobaby so id be happy if he killed Theo and we never had to endure him again.
On tbe night Theo died Sam was shown having a mini breakdown so i think ill throw him in the mix as a suspect.

Didn’t Eastenders film something, didn’t someone die and they managed to film and put it into the program the same day?

the80sweregreat · 10/06/2026 08:45

Yes, Eastenders have put up to date news items into the show before now by getting the actors back that day to record and it is randomly put out amongst scenes. It is rare, but I can think of a few times it’s been done.

Then if they can do it, so can Corrie
