So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

Carla and Lisa discussing the murder in the cafe where everyone can hear yeah right.

We had the pub family shouting their murder business so loudly that their bar staff could hear then gossip with the customers

Deadringer · 20/05/2026 11:31

I knew Roy wouldn't change a thing, its totally in keeping with his character.

RockinCara · 20/05/2026 11:38

I wish they had changed the caff. It’s so dreary. Nobody would use the in real life.

Shellingbynight · 20/05/2026 12:24

Oh yes the caff. It is so miserable. I thought the whole point of the fire was to give production a chance to modernise the caff, because obviously Roy would never do it unprompted. But no, it's exactly the same.

Fransgran · 20/05/2026 14:50

I can't stand the way nobody on Coronation Street is written as having any common sense or impulse control. They leap to mad, wrong-headed conclusions for very little reason, turning on each other at the drop of a hat. Or brooch. And if you cut out all the heavy sighs the actors are forever heaving, the programme would be blessedly shorter. I don't know why I bother to watch. Habit and nostalgia I suppose.

RockinCara · 20/05/2026 15:40

I thought Summer looked genuinely surprised about the broach. But we never did find out how she got out of the flat and away from Theo that night. I wish they’d get on with the reveal. It’s dragging on a bit.

eggandonion · 20/05/2026 17:14

Maybe she jabbed the pin of the brooch into Theo like olden days ladies were advised to do with hat pins.

1reason · 20/05/2026 17:32

I have lost interest in whodunnit! 4 weeks on from murder night 23 April and we are no further forward. Stuck in endless cycle of gossip, suspicion and police interviews. Meh.
But where is Carl? Seems to have gone AWOL.
What is tbe point of Jodie?

Cafes in this country have improved immeasurably since Roy bought that place, even back streets cafes have moved with the times, It is a very competitive market and independents have to offer something novel and decent to keep up with the chains.

George is acting like an utter moron, which is a shame as he is one of the better characters.

PiggieWig · 20/05/2026 19:54

I like evil Roy. The storyline is going to be totally ridiculous but I want to see more of his malevolent ways…

Isn't he just. I am very disappointed in George and he is annoying me immensely.

FrankieMcGrath · 20/05/2026 20:21

Agree with the comments about Roy & George!

RockinCara · 20/05/2026 20:22

He is, and it’s disappointing because George was so sensible and on the ball when it came out trying to help Todd get away from Theo.

the80sweregreat · 20/05/2026 20:24

Roy being mean ? I must have missed this! When was it ?

JewelleryCat · 20/05/2026 20:45

the80sweregreat · 20/05/2026 20:24

Roy isn’t really being mean. It’s all in Sams head, he thinks Roy is telling him to do things and Roy is being mean that way

the80sweregreat · 20/05/2026 20:59

Oh I see! It’s Sam and his paranoia.
Christina seems shifty , but then they all do.
Jodie being a pest too.

SabreIsMyFave · 20/05/2026 21:54

I knew that would happen LOL. Jodie is Truthteller, and now Daniel wants her to stay as he needs her now.

Could have written this myself. 😆

Also disappointed in George, throwing Summer under the bus! How can Lisa possibly keep that information between her and George - (as she said she would!) that Summer was seen near the crime scene? 🙄

Agree about Roy too, slightly evil, sneaky (imaginary) Roy is great fun! 😆

Tipsy Sarah Lou was quite funny IMO. 😆

Was anyone else convinced George was going to say Christina

Couldn't agree more. I'm old and remember watching early ones with my mum. I'm Northern working class and I can't tell you how delighted mum was to see people on telly "just like us". We had an Elsie Tanner in our road! People actually talked like that, the writing was brilliant, characters real.

Times must change of course but last night I watched and thought it was dire, plots contrived and characters changing personality at the drop of a hat, everyone shouting. Mum wouldn't recognise any of it. I couldn't believe the high jinks in the factory scenes, why? Just ridiculous.

It won't change, it's still got good viewing figures but it's so sad for me who was there at the beginning.

Yes me !!

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 21/05/2026 07:43

What was all the pants on the head nonsense at the factory?? Would Carla really have allowed that. Kirk and Izzy the two most pointless characters too.

strugglingwithlife · 21/05/2026 08:07

I read that they are gonna drag the reveal of who killed Theo out until the end of July. Really can't be bothered with it. Already past caring

the80sweregreat · 21/05/2026 08:10

Carla getting upset that Sarah was telling them off made me laugh. They were messing about and she had a dig at them. You would think Carla would be pleased she stopped the nonsense.
Then Carla bought them all drinks.

Edited

Yeah, shouty angry Sarah is reminding me of teenage/early 20-something Sarah when she used to shout at her brother David. A bit of spirit, and emotion coming out in her for a change, instead of the sappy, drippy, breathy-voiced Sarah we've been seeing this past few years! 😆

And yes, Carla buying them all drinks after undermining Sarah for telling them off for a good reason, was a bit off!
