@MyWildOliveGoose So Grant has already paid off the debt? I must have zoned out because I thought he hadn't done it yet. Just as well because it would take Mark years at the rate he's going.

They have taken a real wrong turn with Mark, he's just an unlikeable thug. Ravi did a lot of bad stuff but he has some charm and he isn't a one dimensional thug, whereas that is all there is to Mark.

Yes, I thought it was brutal the way Mark insulted Grant last night. Harsh words and not necessary at all.

Vicky said this week she’s paid off the debt to Sharon, but how?

Yes Grant paid it , same day as Nigel’s funeral. It was all a bit choppy though wasn’t it. Silly episode with not much point to it.

They’ve been paying her monthly, they mention it a lot x

I still don't know how Vicki had money to send Sharon when she works in the cafe and Ross doesn't seem to have a lot of work. One minute characters are in huge debt then the next the magic money tree (or the bank of Phil or Grant) sorts it out.

Oh I just thought of something else. Julie has gone back to Scotland. I thought she sold the house there to pay for Nigel's care but it seems she still has the house, so did Phil pay for the whole of his care fees. I know Phil is (somehow) minted but that would be around £1800 a week.

I wondered that about Julie’s house, had thought it was sold but seems like generous Phil has paid care home fees.

George’s problem must be Eddie-related. Nicola looks like a simmering time bomb, maybe she will kill Eddie, and George then finds out.

Did julie say she was going back to the house ? In which case it wasn’t sold on in the end , but I thought it was ! Unless she has bought something else. Wasn’t made that clear.
Nigel wasn’t in the care home long , so probably didn’t cost Phil that much in the scheme of things around six weeks maybe ? A lot of money , but it wasn’t years of paying out and some of the time he was in hospital as well. Phil must be a muti millionaire to afford it all though.

He’s always got wads of money in his safe! Doesn’t anyone in soaps do online banking? Corrie and Emmerdale residents also keep money in safes. Plus we often see the day’s takings in a bag handed to someone ( usually suspect) to take to the bank and it disappears en route!

@GoldMoon yes true, they may go for the unexpected and have George kill Eddie. I don't think George would be able to forgive himself though and he looks pretty smug in the flashforward. Nicola would easily forgive herself!

80s Yes Nigel was probably only about two months in the care home. Julie was going back to Scotland and if she had sold there would be nowhere to return to. She was carrying the world's smallest bag of hand luggage!!

I think the decision George makes will be to send Eddie back to hospital, can’t see him killing him.

thankyou for update, I agree with @Shellingbynight about Mark, what a horror.

I'm pretty sure Julie said she had sold the house in Scotland. My understanding was that she was just going back there and would rent somewhere else, as that's where her memories of Nigel were.

Eight weeks at 1400 a week is well over 14,000 though. Not sure if they charge when in hospital , but probably do ?

Oh sorry , 1800 a week for the care home.

Ignore my posts and my maths below ! 8x 1400 is 11,200. Plus it was a lot more than that anyway. Couldn’t edit the posts

Eddie will kick off and tell George about the cash I suppose. I did read on Facebook that Eddie starts taunting Gina , so maybe she’ll push him down the stairs. I just hope he is gone soon as it’s an annoying storyline , even if Eddie is good at acting being evil.

Someone on here said about Janine Butcher , best baddie ever! She had a child with Mick , so I guess they will show up like Mark has (one day. )
Mark isn’t a good or nice person , but maybe he’ll have to go after new year. Especially if he is behind a lot of it leading up to Lauren and Oscar being kidnapped.

I don't think George will just send Eddie back to hospital/jail. They brought Eddie back for something significant and him dying in bed isn't very soapy is it? Nicola looks at the end of her tether.

I used to think George was a good actor, but since he left the Vic he has been really low key poor. His facial expression hardly changes no matter what is happening.
