Colin salmon was fined for speeding a while back , maybe it was stress that is making him phone it in, or not happy with the storylines ? Who knows, but I agree he isn’t that believable these days and we rarely see the restaurant that was in trouble a few weeks ago.
Surely he’d be looking for a temporary manager for that to run it for him or doing something!
Gina must only know so much about running a business.

That was me! Apparently Charlie Brooks says it’s hard and exhausting playing Janine. Janine is the best baddie ever though, she just is! I liked Rainie but she’s gone off with Stuart now so. I can’t see Tanya returning much though I’d like to.

Agree with George storyline. He seems underused as pp said and he’s just merrily going on with whatever Nicola says and the odd going off about his dad.

Vicki needs to be pregnant preferably with Zack’s child. I still don’t see the appeal of her to men though.

I’d love Vicky to stay child free. I had forgotten about the abortion she had when she was with Spencer , but she is 40 now and putting down roots in London and she could get another accountancy job and earn some decent money. Maybe a story about that instead of who’s the dad ? just because it was a story with her mum and will give Ross and Zack something to do as well.

I don't think Charlie Brooks is very invested in EastEnders, she seems to get loads of other work. I liked Janine back in the day but I hated her last stint with Mick.

Ian, he hasn’t had much going on lately apart from the election and kissing Elaine. Can’t imagine where that will go with him. Maybe he’ll buy one of Lauren’s dodgy cars ? No idea why his involved in the trailer.

@the80sweregreatI agree it might make a refreshing change if Vicki stays child free. Bea is the only other one with no children I can think of (but who knows really about her!) It's does seem a rule of EE that a woman who sleeps with more than one man gets her comeuppance of unexpected pregnancy shortly after.

I’d love Vicky to get an actual proper accounting job. Being EE , it’ll mean working on the square for someone , but they all have businesses to run , so must be work somewhere she could do and earn more money. Ross is doing ok with his job it seems.
Instead, it’ll be who is the dad? and Ross’s son back I suppose ( even if he should be elsewhere)

Joel must be due to return any day as he was back filming weeks ago. At least he'll inject some interest.

I find it really funny that dreary boring Vicki and Ross have had this ridiculous Zack storyline foisted onto the wedding. I know Ross finds out but does he overlook/forgive and go ahead with marrying her? Even if he does, the fact he's found out will give Joel a lot of leverage to get back in his dad's life.

Joel to upset the wedding of the year then I wonder! Vicki will reject Ross and he’ll move Joel in to live with him? Might happen. He is a bit of a pushover with his son and Joel is manipulative. Not seen any trailers though.

I posted a link a while ago, Zack accidentally-deliberately lets the cat out of the bag to Ross. He hints that Vicki is still seeing 'the man' and Ross eventually catches on it's Zack.

So not Joel's fault this time round, but he may well take advantage of it!

I have seen something on SM today which suggested that Ian’s Shock News is going to be something to do with a “connection” to Chelsea. Could he be Chelsea’s father instead of Lucas?

Actually- surely not. Chelsea is 40 and Ian is mid-50s and didn’t know Diane as a teen.

So does Ian get drunk at the wedding and run over Chelsea? Or maybe Jordan?

80s, you just know if Vicki gets an accounting job it will inevitably lead to some gangster money laundering or she will suddenly decide to somehow steal someone's money in a completely out of character but very EE way. Then she will need the magic money safe or will have to set fire to something.

Yep! It will end in tears of course.

What is the mysterious revelation about Chelsea and Ian Beale….

We re-watched "Prime Suspect 3 " from 1993 .
Danny Dyer was one of the young boys and Christopher Fairbank ( Eddie Knight) was one of the Chief Inspectors from another force .

This was 33 years ago , both looked quite different

Still wondering who has Lauren’s children when they were at the car lot today ( Petah was there too ) and Cindy has now joined forces with Max and moved in with him , so not available to baby sit either.
It was nice to see Whitney looking well ( only a brief visit though )

I like the fact that Max still smokes, because he definitely would. The only other smoker on EE in recent years was Dot I think?

Some lovely lines today, Max to Lauren “Cindy owes me a tenner then”. And I loved Oscar and ‘Wayne’.

So Grant is going back to Portugal. How is he going to live now he has sold the bar.

Vicki isn’t very good with money for an accountant.

A few stories are left hanging. Bea in the chicken shop ( she must be baking !) and E’laine and Ian, Ravi has been forgotten.
I thought that about the hot looking clothes today, but they didn’t mention the bank holiday unless I missed it.
They usually do something special ! Not today.

I read that Grant and Sam go on the run back to Portugal. The only thing I can think is he has a house there , but not the bar now. I’m sure they will buy another one soon enough , money just pours out of the bank for the Mitchells. 200,000 k here and there isn’t a problem for them. 🙄

Yes, that was funny with Max about the bet. He is amusing when he on form.

They didn't mention the bank holiday did they? Just acted like it was a normal day.

They seem to be moving Sam's character forwards, like her friendship with Denise and her relationship with Ricky. And then she torches a car and goes on the run. It's a shame.

I agree Den's jewellery was horrible - very Den though I suppose! Hard to believe it was worth £2k!

The local second hand jewellery place had 2k in cash just there. They all love cash in Walford, does Rachel Reeves know about all this carry on?
