I really don’t care about mark and the cars ( although that was a nice car) as he is just another dodgy gangster and we’ve had enough of those.
Delaney is scary though. Vicky’s wedding is going to be ruined by him isn’t it 🙄

Surely even if it is arson Lauren’s insurance covers it as it wasn’t her or max that did it? Was it at the archers? I wasn’t concentrating, if it was Phil is going to go mad

I've just checked and you're right that arson is usually covered depending on what type of insurance you have. As long as it's not found out that they did it themselves of course!

No, it wasn't inside the Arches. They took the car to some middle-of-the-road nowhere place and torched it there!

They can make it look like a TWOC and burn as there are no CCTV cameras as we know !
DH said "why didn't he put the petrol in the car " it would've burned quicker on the soft furnishing . Mark wore gloves for the petrol can , his prints will legitimately be in the car as he was repairing it . Is Mark a mechanic now ?
So The Arches insurance would be chased , Mark had permission from Grant to use the Arches (not that Grant owns it though )

If Grant does sell his bar in Portugal then he'll have to stay in Walford .

Phil said mark could use the archers a few weeks ago, he said he liked messing with cars, but he asked again the other day and it was free because the lads were at the naming ceremony
the naming ceremony Phil as George’s mate didn’t go to but his two ex wives did (plot reasons so they found out about Eddie)

Elaine and Cindy attending the naming ceremony was beyond bizarre. They could have found out about Eddie just by seeing him being wheeled into the house when he arrived from the hospital. I understand why Gina is upset but she is being very drama llama with the weeping and making it all about her.

Good point about Eddie knowing Nicola’s family. When she went to see him for the first time in the hospital, he called her by her name instantly when she walked into his room before she even spoke. I did wonder how he even knew Nicola existed. It’s not as if George would have kept him informed and sent him pictures of her. It would be ironic if he does know her family since Nicola lied to social services about him being her dad’s best friend!

as this is EE , then Eddie will know Nic's family .
Vicky knew who Delaney was , I don't think she'd have moved in the same circles as him and unless she heard Phil and Grant talk about him ( "You slept with his wife have you got a Death Wish or somefing' ? " )
Maybe Mark told her who he owed to (so if a random well dressed bloke turns up in your kitchen ....)

I get Gina being so upset. She was treated worse then Anna, because Anna looked "whiter" so Eddie accepted her straight off, but not Gina.

Mark and Sam going all gangsta was ridiculous. Poundshop Traitors. I agree that torching a Cossie is a terrible thing to do. I didn't think it was about the insurance as such, it was so Mark's dodgy mate could get stolen cars for him to sell through the car lot. Presumably Mark can pocket the money Lauren is paying for legit cars. A couple of grand a time will take him a while to payoff the debt.

After seeing Delaney again I agree with you 80s, he would be retired on the Costas, with someone else looking after his operation. He's way too old to still be 'working'.

But the gangsta stuff so soooo ridiculous. Especially involving Sam. This time round they had changed her into a sensible grown up dispensing good advice. There is just no way she would help Mark do that. Phil and Grant's dodgy car dealing in the 90s was bad enough, we don't need Sam in a hood now.

I thought V&R were getting married in the park/square like Yolande did? My thought was that there was definite reason Jasmine knows about all this fertiliser. She is due to find out about Josh, and she likes to set a fire.

We had a similar stories in the past with dodgy ‘ cut and shut’ cars and people owing money. There is a sign on the arches about no public allowed inside , but it doesn’t stop them all going in there does it!

Sam always felt inferior to her brothers , so maybe she sees this a way of helping out her relative. She was a bad girl previously, in trouble and a bit gobby, so I suppose they have changed her again to fit in with the hard Mitchell woman act. It doesn’t work as she is better off as the sensible one, so maybe she will do this and then take off again.

It's bad enough they are resorting to all this gangsta nonsense without involving Sam in it. Next week it even interferes with Nigel's funeral.😕

Sam's character was developing nicely with her friendship with Dee, finally stepping up to be a mum to Ricky and dispensing wise advice to everyone. Now they are making her take a backwards step🙄 She has never been able to pull off the gangster role. She failed spectacularly when she was running Peggys, got mixed up with Jonah and tried to become a drugs lord. It's rididiculous that a few short weeks after Cancer treatment she would dive back into this criminal nonsense.

The writers seem to like a tough woman and with Nicola distracted by the Eddie and Ivy stories , they have put it on Sam. Someone on here said they will ruin her and it appears to be the case now.

My theory is that Eddie is not be at death's door as they are all hoping he is and will start to recover enough to get up and explore while they are out. Nic will have to kill him in the end, obviously. Maybe on the basement stairs? I don't think we've ever seen those.

I like this theory.

He could be whingeing about the basement "I don't know how you could think I;d live in a basement , you wouldn't put a dog in a basement ..." so if he does wander about and she does shove him downstairs , she can say "He tripped , he wanted to have a look for himself , the basements alright but he's a whingey old git who wouldn't take my word for it "
Make sure there's a dressing gown cord or his oxygen tubes to fall over .

Vincent had the basement done up for his mother and when half of Walford lived at the house I'm sure someone must've slept there

Nicola didn’t ask his Doctor if was actually dying or not.
She took him at his word. Unless it was done off screen. If he wasn’t he’d be back in prison surely ?
Unless they are happy for them to have him as his no longer a threat to society ? People do die in prison , so it’s a mystery. He may well make a recovery and start poking around the house and fall down the stairs and die. Or be pushed.
She will then find out the money was stolen and marked and be even more in trouble with some other gangster sort..

Absolutely @70isaLimitNotaTargetshe could say 'I don't even know what he was doing at the top of those stairs!' They could have a final showdown, just the two of them. She's fully capable of doing it. Harry will suspect, but will keep quiet obviously...
