EE have never done a leukaemia story, it's unusual for any soap to cover leukaemia as a story but Emmerdale did last year with another type of blood cancer. Acute myeloid leukaemia is an aggressive cancer with a high mortality rate with people of Denise's age.

Eurgh no he would stink of cigarette smoke .
It is unusual to see people smoking now , when someone lights up I think "Eh!"

I like Denise. I do hope she can fight this, but it doesn’t sound good. We know she is alive NYD of course.

Maybe that’s when baby Ethan is born!

It’s going to be a sad one , that’s for sure… aslong as they don’t brush it under the carpet like Sam’s breast cancer

He is also so so far from my type but yea.. there’s something weird there lol although he has given me the ick a few times since coming back, and needs to pack that in lol

Maybe Denise wants to leave after years of being in the soap, but it will be a huge loss as she has been in it a long time.

Thanks for the spoiler about Denise. That is a weird one, because there isn't a lot of jeopardy in that we know she's alive and well enough to be storming out of houses on NYD, and Jack didn't behave as if she's ill when he talked about her. I suspect she will be successfully treated, I doubt they want to lose her.

Anyway, I enjoyed tonight's episode mainly because of Max and Cindy. They are a great pairing - a total disaster in the making but very enjoyable to watch.

Nicola is a piece of work. Horrible woman, she and Eddie deserve each other.

I only watched two episodes but BabyIvy went from BabyWithFullHeadofHair to BabyWithFluffyHair .

I know they need a few babies for a role .

Today’s baby Ivy looked about 6 months old, she was even bigger than previous Ivy!

I really fancied Max years ago. Total bad boy.

Ian looks older than his mother Kathy.

Oh I'm not sure i can watch another slow doom and gloom illness, we had Lola, then Nigel. We need something uplifting, I'd rather another old age pregnancy. Real life is sad enough, when I watch tv I want drama and entertainment.
I have known 2 children that have had leukemia, one aged 5-10 the other 13-18, both had very long gruelling treatments. I'm not familiar with adult leukemia, but I'm not sure how ee can portray it.

Yeah i cant watch another illness either

Cindy is coming across as very desperate.

I think Cindy is gorgeous , she dresses nice and always looks stylish and has gorgeous hair I think she and max work great together though will they want to settle down together ? Wouldn’t that be a bit boring to them both ?
I could see Ian and Elaine working really well as a couple

My friends husband has AML/CML a soap story would really help with awareness. It's a cruel condition.

@Canipleaseask I agree with you. It's great that Denise has a storyline but not sure I want to go through months of a gruelling cancer storyline. And it will involve Jack and Kim emoting which is ... never good.

MIL died of a blood cancer a few years ago, I think it might have been the same one. But she was 87 and had other serious illnesses too so it wasn't surprising it killed her.

Gorgeous? Attractive at best, imo.

I just watched Classic Eastenders (todays episode so clueless on what's goin' on )
Phil was really supportive of Ben who was going to court , showing him how to shave , telling him it would be okay . (But , like this'll be the Best Christmas Ever , he went down for many months ) . Ritchie was in court (of course) but Ben didn't get his 6 weeks , he got 15 months suspended .
GBH , chip off the old Mitchell block !
He'll come back with his NuHead, older and meaner ( not keen on the Next Ben)

Phil and Shurl were a good pairing , she's tough on the outside but has her demons .
Phil and Sharon are the ultimate pairing .
