Max buys expensive aftershave doesn’t he! Or oils..

The Grant / Max face off was funny. 😄

Max has a rough and ready charm, the vulnerable puppy dog eyes when he makes a mistake and a way of tricking a woman into feeling she is the most moment important person in his life. He makes a lot of heart felt speeches about “being a better man” that women only realise is BS once they’ve been around him long enough (Tanya, Stacey). Even savvy ones like Cindy fall for it initially He’s a textbook manipulator although with a heart underneath it all. The actor is brilliant at showing all his sides.

Max is a good actor! I agree his good at a big range of emotions to entice women ( mostly ) I actually like him with Cindy , but we all know she’ll try and change him and that won’t wash. Plus he always wants who he can’t have as well.

Ian rather lunged at E’laine didn’t he!

I’m sorry to say it out loud as I hate ageism but Elaine looks older than Kathy and I just cannot fathom Ian developing feelings for her. She is not his type. But opposites do attract and Elaine is a force of nature. Can’t wait for Cindy’s reaction if they do become a couple🤣

Oh yes that is true - Elaine does look older than Ian's mother! 😬

Kathy has had extensive work done!

I think Cindy looks in her mid sixties, her features are hard and her skin quite leathery.

Still comes over as an evil old git to me! No redeeming features whatsoever.

That is a lot of money to just save up. He may have had a big redundancy from work or sold the flat , but just savings is a bit odd. Especially as the flat didn’t look that nice and they seemed to be hard up ( George went to see them both at one stage )
Still, maybe it’ll work out. If it doesn’t then she’ll have to sell the club. I can see Max running it somehow ! He may be into having more businesses.

I did roll my eyes at Linda being told that she needs a break when she had a cruise last year that went on for months all bankrolled by her mum!
You hardly see her with her children at all and she seems to be able to get out when she likes.
E’laine was at the hall and she was at the club , who was minding the kids , some random at the b and b?

Linda and Grant was just not on my 2026 bingo card. I so wanted her to fall in love with Phil. We know Grant isn’t hanging around despite his spiel today lol as he and Sam are off soon.. and I don’t believe this jealousy between Max and Linda will result in her being the bride on NYD either.

I can’t see Max marrying Linda either.
He will definitely mess Cindy around. It is his MO isn’t it, especially if Stacey does come home.

Be sad to see Sam go. I don’t mind Grant really , but he won’t hang around as he never does.

I think Grant is around for about six weeks, Ross Kemp stopped filming a few weeks ago. I'd like Sam to stay on IF they could give her decent storylines. She so often gets absolute dross.

Ian did look a bit stunned after their kiss!

Loved Max and Grant squaring up, so Linda has feelings for Max and Max got angry with Grant because he still fancies Linda, really looking forward to finding out who the women are in the flash forward! They've done it well to keep us interested.

I can't see Max and Cindy living together somehow, I thought their passion thrived on excitement and secret hook-ups?

I fast forward through Eddie, but surely he will tell George that Nicola wants his money (if he has any that is).

Next week, Nicola puts Eddie in the basement, but he manages to worm his way back to the main rooms.
She was good with the man from the SS. She has a way about her that makes people trust her!

Im surprised they are doing another cancer story so soon after Sam.

I read somewhere that Jake Wood buys a special
aftershave for when he plays Max as it’s a Max aftershave.

I think the mentioning of Jack’s birthday being in September is a some kind of clue for new year. It’s seemed like an odd comment.
