Having found gregg, and to a lesser extent, john, extremely irritating for years, plus the stale format, I stopped watching regular masterchef. But I am definitely looking forward to trying again with the new season!

ooing and ahhing about previous winners and how amazing it is to cook for them when we barely remember them. Might change because these two can’t talk what they were like as contestants

Hoping they get rid of standing next to a contestant when they are concentrating or chatting about how busy they are and you just know that the contestant wants to say fuck off and let me get on. However I expect it’s baked in now.

Can I say "me and my wife" (not that there is anything wrong with that as my daughter has a wife) but they make such a big issue of it as if it is something special.

I've just remembered that god-awful new challenge of having to taste cubes of things while blindfolded. Praying they’ll have forgotten about it for this series.

What ho Chuffs! I will be in as much as I can but may have to watch some on Catch Up as I am directing a play this year with rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
