I think this is why so many women end up with dead beat blokes. They fall for the charm and good looks and ignore the glaringly obvious fact that they have awful personalities and antiquated attitudes.

Well, you could say the same about men probably disproportionately, they think with their digs and then spend the rest of their lives dealing with the consequences of their actions when it came to choosing a partner

I found it interesting when Tyson went off somewhere after there’d been some sort of disagreement and Venezuela said something to Paris like ‘oh no because I wanted some money’ . Which to me seemed strange because you’d think that Paris would have said ‘oh here I can give you money’ but she didn’t?. It felt a bit off as if Tyson controls the purse strings even though they must be incredibly wealthy. Also when the little one said ‘it’s dad’s kitchen’ to Paris.
When Paris mended his shorts and then suggested he could afford to buy new ones , Tyson looked genuinely furious. Everyone tries to diffuse his temper but it does feel that they tread on eggshells.
And the vow renewals confuse me a lot. It seems that they’re in an endless cycle of arranging parties and events but it must become boring at some point for Paris although she seems to like it so 🤷‍♀️ .
And yes, Tommy has amazing eyes .

They are fascinating. I wouldn't want to be them, be in their family, be their neighbours, but they're fascinating. Every one of them.

Tyson is clearly bipolar, would be a nightmare to live with. Loves Paris (I think) but can't find peace anywhere. How sad for him.

I can't get a measure of Paris at all. She seems like a strong, dynamic woman. But maybe she doesn't have any power at all?

The oldest daughter seems very unhappy and embarrassed. The scene at the races with her friends in particular was uncomfortable to watch.

Prince, left school, hoping to be a boxer, but seems too gentle and calm to succeed in that world. He should have stayed in school. And does he need to see an orthodontist or something about his teeth and his chin? It's so pronounced.

The little boy Adonis maybe who was so upset about his report card and what the teacher observed about his behaviour. Bless him. I hope they get him whatever support he needs.

And the dad, John, I want to like him. I think he's kind and cares very much about his family. He seems to have a good understanding of his son. But I know he's had a violent past so it doesn't feel right to like him too much.

The oldest daughter and son seem to have been brought up in a 'we were poor, we're very lucky' mindset, that hasn't affected the younger ones who seem more confident

I finally caught up, I just don't understand the traveller community culture, it's just so wrong in every way. All that cleaning, the clear separation between men and women, the violence, the lack of interest in having an education, the show of who has the most money, the marrying while still children, I do wonder if that's why the suicide rate for the travelling community is so high, men can't express their feelings, none of them have any sort of life before marriage, it's marrying the 1st person you meet and expect them to still to want to be with them their whole married life.

I enjoyed the 1st series, I actually thought from a few things Paris and Tyson said on that about maybe changing a few things that's expected of travellers in their community like marriage and school that they would but they didn't, it's all they talk about, how soon they can leave school, how many kids the kids will have, I guess it's their way but it's a life I'm definitely glad not to be a part off.

It's a real shame that Tyson didn't get help for his bipolar as a child, I do think maybe this is again another thing that's done in their community, ignore the obvious needs and just put it down to being 'bold' and told to forget the feelings you have. I do hope they help their own kids with their needs.
