I saw on another thing that Bec has had reconstructive surgery on her chin, probably another thing that has caused insecurities

I don't think Bec and Danaconda will make it past the first week. First night with the ixperts they'll be gone - shame, as I liked Bec on the Hens night, but she is way to insecure to be on this show.

Things that look producer led to me so far…

Alyssa creating that whole standoff about getting a proposal at the altar. She seemed so difficult when she and David had only just met but since then she has seemed relaxed and fun with everyone. I think the producers wanted some Day 1 drama and she agreed to prank David. Good actress.

Chris being oh so cynical and yet still agreeing to go on the show. I think the producers are playing up his cynicism but also made sure they matched him with gorgeous and so far down to earth Brook so he would have little to complain about. I think his redemption arc is already scripted and, if he and Brook make it to the end, he will make the ixperts look good too.

Making Luke late for the wedding so Mel got there first and had an awkward moment. I think they knew she would find it hard to get over a less than perfect wedding day and set her up so they could rip her apart on the couch and teach us all about focussing on what’s really important.

Things that are not producer led:
Gia being an arrogant bully
Bec being a puddle of insecurities

Can I just add, please - the "no spoilers" really does mean that, no more "I know something you don't know" to posts. We could all google if we wanted to.

I wonder why Mel was sat at the end of the table in the 'experts den' when watching the dinner party. She has always sat in the middle and it felt strange to me.

This might have been mentioned further up - so apologies if it has.

I wonder if it's because she is so ill, and didn't want to be the main focus of the camera. And maybe to symbolise the passing of the 'head person' baton.

Until Bec works on her own confidence she will never be able to be in a relationship. The way that she just flips and becomes instantly jealous is not healthy and will drive anyone away.

I think this was filmed almost a year ago and although Mel has been in treatment for a few years, her latest update with her terminal diagnosis was only recent. Very sad.

I always wonder how much the experts know before the dinner party. We only see what the producers decide, which is way after it’s all over and edited together with production knowing what happens! The experts must see the dinner party “live” I assume, or maybe next day before commitment ceremony. Hard to figure out!

I didn’t realise Mel actually lives in the UK. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in Dec 2023 and learned in early 2024 that it had spread to her lungs. She had 16 rounds of chemo while still appearing on MAFS on the other side of the world from her home. I imagine when filming this series she knew she wanted / needed to step back and spend however long she had left with her family. So let Alessandra sit in the middle.

Bec and Gia will make it to final vows IMO. They know what to do to get maximum screen time

I think they are quite tame this year. Quirky as opposed to nasty. Except for Gia obvs. But even she seems nicer sans make up with her husband.
