Murder mysteries solved by 3 woman - Judith , Becks and Susie - who live in Marlow - which is just as dangerous as Midsummer and any Paradise show 😂😂😂

Robert Thorogood's cosy crime drama returns to shatter any illusions that Marlow is a safe place to live

Fortunately former archaeologist Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), vicar’s wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) and dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) have bandied together to turn amateur sleuths and help DI Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) nab the killers.

E1&2 This year’s intriguing cases see them on the trail of the killer that’s bumped off the nicest man in Marlow – beloved Mayor Geoffrey Truman (Peter Davison) during a meeting at the town hall.

E3&4 Then Becks becomes a potential murder suspect herself when a man is killed during her university reunion in a spooky mansion that’s rented out by Hector Bly (Harry Enfield) - who secretly keeps an eye on his guests.

E5&6 - Finally the trio are invited to celebrity chef Ferdy Blake’s (Alistair Mackenzie) book launch at his restaurant Gastronomy, but there’s more than a touch of indigestion when he’s discovered dead in his kitchen.

Easy watching - don't really need to have seen s1&2 to enjoy this

The big question is will we make it to the end of the series this year or all give up between 5&6.

I still have series 2 episode 6 to watch

I would prefer it over 2 nights or over 6weeks rather we’d x 3

i lose concentration with 2hrs

I might join you on that. I do remember the discussion about 5&6 not being great last year. Looking back at the thread I think I ignored your suggestion not to bother with them, then must have decided you were right and didn’t bother with the second half. 😂

so we still don’t know who was the killer in e6 of s2 😂

I like this, it's kind of calming in a Midsummer Murder kind of way. It also has the lovely Marlow as a backdrop.

I enjoyed it when it started but by the middle of series 2 I was finding the three main characters very annoying. I’ll give it another go though

I grew up in Marlow, there weren't any murders - trust me. Its a very peaceful town.

I like a bit of Paradise, Whitstable, Chelsea, good ship but find the Samantha Bond character in Marlow particularly irritating

when the mayor dies in the middle of a meeting, JUDITH BECKS and SUSIE uncovered lies scandal and blackmail

as a suspect sequence stack up JUDITH BECKS and SUSIE still can’t find anyone with a motive to hurt the mayor

busy night at 9pm tonight so I will be watching some on demand but obv won’t comment till it’s finished - just not sure which to watch ahead 😂

As a local, found the bit where they were flooring it to get to the phone box, but had to squeeze through the ‘tin openers’ to get over the bridge hilarious 🤣

Oh I’ve read the book of this one. Not sure if I remember who did it.

Only just spotted this! Too late to record it, so annoying. Will watch next week's.
