I think the whole prank was power play - she wrong footed him. He knows it and doesn’t wish to be manipulated further, so not getting on one knee. I wouldn’t either.

If he gets down on one knee the visual of that is very off

I’m sure other grooms in previous series have proposed/got their n one knee so it’s not a new thing

Surely you'd just say, 'oh you wanna see im serious - here you go' and then make your boundaries clear afterwards
