Imitating her walk was just awful to watch. So nasty

Ridiculing the voice, the running, head gestures - Lucinda had to tolerate that from more than 1 islander on multiple occasions and I genuinely believe it was led by Belle. I’m quite surprised at myself because I felt totally opposite in the first few days. But aggressive shouting and screaming and gaslighting and finger pointing like Belle - none of it was ok.

What are the thoughts on Harrison’s hand on Belles leg through the interview. I remember when my DH first met my parents he did that and I found it a bit disconcerting but we are still together nearly 30 years later lol.

It's ironic that everyone's gunning for Belle for being a bully… by writing horrible comments about her on here that could be perceived as cyber bullying... 🤷🏻‍♀️

im reminded of when Serena lost it on a court, once in her career - and there were men imitating her and comparing her to animals. Were belle black, that’s what would happen to her, sorry to say it

Genuine question - is it bullying if the person being talked about isn’t aware? Half the threads on here could be seen as bullying if that’s the case.

I don't know if it matters, but it feels hypocritical to call someone out for bullying while using bullying language and name calling.

Like what? I've seen comments criticising her behaviour and attitude, but that's not bullying.

There have been some derogatory name calling on these threads, like "council house Belle" and the glee with which people have responded to others slagging her off just seems so hypocritical. Pack mentality.

I’ve been on the receiving end of someone shouting and swearing at me, aggressive body language, pointing in my face, mimicking me, rolling their eyes constantly, muttering under their breath every time I spoke and trying to gather everyone around them to do the same and I will absolutely say that is bullying compared to if they had discussed me anonymously on a website and I wasn’t aware of it.

Exactly. I wouldn’t be surprised if she had dyspraxia. I do and my walk/run can look a bit clumsy sometimes and I get words muddled too ie. “Lielle”

I hear a quirky sense of humour -which I have too - is common among dyspraxics too which might explain her giggling.

But ND aside it’s unkind. They went too far.

Btw the fact that it was multiple islanders saying they found her annoying does not mean it’s not bullying! If anything it makes it worse.

Believe me as someone who was bullied in an office with one ringleader and several other “helpers” I wasn’t the problem. That is unless you call standing up to people who want you to accept them treating you like shit a problem.

It took two new staff joining, clocking what was going on and refusing to join in the bullying to really upset things and trigger me making a formal complaint after 2 years .

I had things so well documented as well as support form the new joiners that HR agreed it was most certainly bullying which is not something they usually do - only a small fraction of grievances are upheld in the UK.

And that’s not to say Lucinda is perfect but my point is you don’t need to be perfect to be a victim and the majority is not always right. Herd mentality is a thing. Bullies have a lot of support in schools, workplaces and families.

We don’t know how aware Belle may become of these threads. She could have a Google to find out what’s being said about her and come across them. She may not give a shit, but she also might.
